Driver killed in U.P., truck hits house following rollover crash
DICKINSON COUNTY, MI -- The driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was killed Saturday night in a rollover crash that ended with the truck hitting a house. According to WLUC-6, the unidentified driver was traveling northbound on County Rd. After rolling several times, the truck hit a house and caused major damage to it. The driver was airlifted by Valley Medflight to a hospital in Marquette, however the driver died as a result of their injuries. WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — A Michigan State Police Trooper are investigating a rollover crash on WB I-94 near Baker Road in Scio Township. The traffic crash occurred on Nov. 17, at approximately 9:02 a.m., according to the state police. There were two occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash, officials said. The cause of the vehicle crash remains under investigation. JACKSON, MI -- Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety officers are investigating a fatal rollover crash that happened on westbound I-94 about 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. The crash involved one vehicle and happened near North Elm Road. Police who responded to the scene found the vehicle in a marshy area some 30 yards off the freeway. DETROIT – A semi truck carrying 38 cows lost control and overturned on the Westbound I-94 ramp to Southbound I-75 in Detroit around 3 p.m. Monday, police say. As a result of the incident the Westbound I-94 ramp to Southbound I-75 will be closed for several hours. Police were still waiting for another livestock trailer to arrive on scene from Albion as of 6 p.m. Monday. Once the additional trailer arrives officials will begin to transfer over the livestock. Some of the cows will need to be euthanized because of their injuries, police say.
26-year-old Michigan man killed in single vehicle rollover crash
MELVIN, Mich. – A 26-year-old Melvin man was killed in a crash that happened before 5:30 a.m. today. Police say the crash took place near Lapeer and Wales Center roads in Wales Township. The victim’s 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling eastbound on Lapeer when it went off the road into a ditch and rolled several times ending up on its wheels, police say. As a result the victim was ejected from the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation.
26-year-old man killed in rollover crash on Hoyt Street in Detroit
DETROIT – A 26-year-old man died after a rollover crash on Detroit’s east side Thursday afternoon. The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on Hoyt Street between Schoenherr Street and Gratiot Avenue. Police say the man was in a Volkswagen and drove through a yield sign, hitting another car. The driver in the other vehicle was a 20-year-old woman. She is expected to be OK.
Mother, 3 children hospitalized after vehicle was T-boned, police say
DETROIT Six people, including three young children, were transported to a hospital after a rollover crash. Police said a mother was driving in a vehicle with her three young children when a man in an Impala ran a stop sign and T-boned her vehicle. The mans vehicle rolled over and ended upside down, according to police. Firefighters worked to get him out of the vehicle and he was transported to a hospital. The three children and their mother were also transported to a hospital.
