A Flood Warning is in effect for the Clinton River in Macomb County until late tonight. During the afternoon on Friday, the river was at 17 feet. It was expected to fall below flood stage of 16 feet. during the late evening. Parts of Clinton Township and Mt. Clemens are affected by this warning.

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. - Wednesday marks 50 years since the 1969 Rouge River fire, which started near the Rouge plant and Zug Island. WESTLAND, Mich. - Police are investigating a 24-year-old Westland's woman's death as a homicide after her body was found partially submerged in the Rouge River in the Middlebelt Hills area of Hines Park in Westland. Police sources told Local 4 they were led to the body's location by a suspect in the case and the woman was found partially submerged in the river. Police said they are treating the situation as a suspected homicide but the autopsy will be critical in the case. Multiple divers went into the water with a stretcher and ladders, looking for anything in connection with the case. The Westland Police Department and the Fire Department were on the scene.
