After seven head coaching vacancies in the league, only one Black head coach, David Culley of the Houston Texans, was hired during this year's hiring cycle. Even after Culley's hiring, there are only three Black head coaches in the NFL — a point of criticism coming from sportscasters, former players and now, the president. While discussing the significance of representation, he brought up his decision to pick Vice President Kamala Harris, the first ever female, Black and South Asian American vice president in U.S. history. "When I picked a Black woman to be vice president, I don't know how many hundreds of thousands of little girls just said, 'I can do that.

The spot succeeded because it provided a clear, on-brand message, the Kellogg School said. But overall, this year's crop of ads wasn't particularly distinctive, relying on "safe ads with light humor," according to Kellogg School business professor Tim Calkins. Its rating system also gave high marks to Amazon's Alexa ad and M&M's spot featuring actor Dan Levy.

Due to the coronavirus, attendance at the stadium is limited to 25,000 fans -- and 7,500 of them will be vaccinated health care workers. Among those frontline workers in attendance are two Metro Detroit doctors, Dr. Nadia Youseff and her husband Dr. Zafar Shamoon. The NFL sent three tickets to the Super Bowl in Tampa.

He’s getting rewarded for it in a big way -- Foster is headed to Super Bowl LV in Tampa as a special guest of the NFL. While he lives in Metro Detroit, Foster grew up in Tampa and rooted for the Buccaneers. “They did win the Super Bowl once in 2010,” Foster said.
