VIDEO: Michigan State Police troopers stop wrong-way driver on I-75
METRO DETROIT, Mich. – Michigan State Police troopers released video Wednesday of a wrong-way driver incident on I-75. The video shows a trooper initiate a traffic stop with a wrong way driver who appears to be disoriented. The trooper requests the driver to put the vehicle in park six times before appearing to put the car in park himself. Video of the incident can be seen in the video player above. The Michigan State Police urge residents to talk to their doctor about their prescriptions and how they impact the user.
Monroe County Prosecutors Office calls action of state trooper who opened fire on man justifiable
MONROE, Mich. The Monroe County Prosecutors Office is calling the action of a state trooper who opened fire on a knife-wielding man justifiable. Video footage showed the man rushing toward the trooper on a busy south dixie highway. What investigators say you do not see is the trooper repeatedly asking the man to drop the large knife. The encounter lasted a few seconds. Witnesses told investigators that the trooper did everything he could to diffuse the situation before firing his weapon.

Video shows Michigan state trooper rescue unconscious driver from burning vehicle on I-94
VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. Dashcam video from a Michigan State Police troopers vehicle show the trooper rushing to save an unconscious driver from a burning pickup truck Tuesday morning along eastbound I-94 near Haggerty Road. State police said troopers were called about 6:15 a.m. about a car and boat fire on the interstate. The trooper used his baton to break out the passenger side window and pull the driver out of the pickup truck. The trooper was then able to pull the driver from the truck, reads a statement from state police. The pickup truck was pulling a boat trailer.
