6-year-old boy killed in suspected drunk driving crash, police say
MONROE COUNTY, MI – A 6-year-old boy has dead from injuries he suffered in a suspected drunk driving crash in Monroe County Thursday night, police said. Emergency crews were called at 10:15 p.m. Oct. 14, to Grafton Road and Ash Street in Ash Township near Carleton in Monroe County for a report of a single-vehicle roll-over crash, according to Michigan State Police. The child suffered critical injuries and was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Trenton where he later died, police said. 2 arrested after hour-long police chase hits 100 mph in Berrien County
BERRIEN COUNTY, MI – A police pursuit hit 100 mph while winding through seven townships and cities in Berrien County. The chase started around 2:53 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, when police saw a 1998 black Dodge Ram pickup driving near Pucker and Pokagon Streets in Berrien Township, the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office said. The chase went through Berrien Township, Niles Township, Buchanan Township, the city of Buchanan, Lake Township, Chikaming Township and ended in Weesaw Township. Deputies eventually caught a 16-year-old girl, and a 22-year-old man was caught with the help of Berrien County police dog Blek. Man dies after truck hits tree in Flint, police say
FLINT, MI -- A 48-year-old man died over the weekend after his vehicle crashed into a tree in Flint, police said. The single-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, April 10, on Welch Boulevard near Lavender Avenue in Flint. An initial crash investigation has revealed a red Dodge Ram was headed east on Welch Boulevard at a high rate of speed, according to a Flint Police Department news release. The driver, Willie James Boone Jr., 48, lost control of the Dodge Ram, which left the roadway and then hit a tree. The investigation is ongoing by Flint police.mlive.com

Father, 12-year-old daughter killed in crash in Shelby Township
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 45-year-old Macomb Township man and his 12-year-old daughter were killed in a crash in the area of 21 Mile Road and Van Dyke in Shelby Township. Shelby Township police and fire departments were dispatched at about 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday to a crash involving two vehicles. Police said one of the vehicles, a Dodge Ram, was engulfed in flames. A preliminary investigation revealed that the Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on Van Dyke, turning left onto 21 Mile Road when a commercial truck was southbound on Van Dyke, traveling through 21 Mile Road. Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash is asked to contact Traffic Services Bureau Sgt.
Man injured in shooting near McNichols, Greenfield in Detroit
DETROIT – One man, listed in stable condition, was injured in a shooting Saturday night in the area of West McNichols and Greenfield roads, according to Detroit police. Police said the 39-year-old man was driving a gray Dodge Ram when someone inside a white truck fired shots. The victim drove himself to the hospital. This is an ongoing investigation. 84-year-old woman killed in Shelby Township crash
The driver of the 2019 Jeep, an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was taken to a local hospital and died shortly after the crash. SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. - On Monday around 10:55 a.m., the Shelby Township police and fire departments responded to an injury crash on 26 Mile Road and Main Park Drive. As the 2019 Jeep was crossing the eastbound lanes of 26 Mile Road, it collided with a 2016 Dodge Ram, which was traveling east on 26 Mile Road. The driver of the 2019 Jeep, an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was taken to a local hospital and died shortly after the crash. The passenger of the Jeep, also an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
