SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 45-year-old Macomb Township man and his 12-year-old daughter were killed in a crash in the area of 21 Mile Road and Van Dyke in Shelby Township. Shelby Township police and fire departments were dispatched at about 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday to a crash involving two vehicles. Police said one of the vehicles, a Dodge Ram, was engulfed in flames. A preliminary investigation revealed that the Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on Van Dyke, turning left onto 21 Mile Road when a commercial truck was southbound on Van Dyke, traveling through 21 Mile Road. Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash is asked to contact Traffic Services Bureau Sgt.

DETROIT – One man, listed in stable condition, was injured in a shooting Saturday night in the area of West McNichols and Greenfield roads, according to Detroit police. Police said the 39-year-old man was driving a gray Dodge Ram when someone inside a white truck fired shots. The victim drove himself to the hospital. This is an ongoing investigation. The driver of the 2019 Jeep, an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was taken to a local hospital and died shortly after the crash. SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. - On Monday around 10:55 a.m., the Shelby Township police and fire departments responded to an injury crash on 26 Mile Road and Main Park Drive. As the 2019 Jeep was crossing the eastbound lanes of 26 Mile Road, it collided with a 2016 Dodge Ram, which was traveling east on 26 Mile Road. The driver of the 2019 Jeep, an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was taken to a local hospital and died shortly after the crash. The passenger of the Jeep, also an 84-year-old Shelby Township resident, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
