The Panthers won 11 of 13 of their league games by double digits and carried that regular-season momentum in the Division 2 state tournament, where they won the school’s first-ever regional championship. Western continued their historical run to the Division 2 state semifinals before falling to eventual state champion Portland 45-38 on April 7.
