Food, fun and festivals are on the lineup this weekend here in Detroit.

Spring is bringing in a warm weekend with the return of Flower Day, Motor City Comic Con and a new Van Gogh experience.

Sharon Hopsin has been getting the run around for nearly a year when it comes down to a memorial bench she purchased in June of 2021 for her late mother, Pandora Hopsin. She says the whole ordeal has been an emotional rollercoaster.

We should really be celebrating our moms all the time, but especially on Mother’s Day, it’s more important than ever.

It’s all about mom this weekend with special shows and family-friendly events to be at right here in Detroit.

For Mother’s Day, many moms just want some extra time to themselves. So why not take over the cooking for this weekend? Your wife has to handle the nursing, if you opt to go that route, and thats a huge job for her. So you can start doing everything ELSE -- diaper changes, spit-up duty, baths, bottles if those are in your rotation, etc. Not only could her milk supply take a hit, but shes going to be seriously hangry, if thats the case. DETROIT – As Metro Detroit goes in to Mother's Day, Sunday, the weather calms down, and it becomes milder. The morning will be damp with heavy rain and thunderstorms before and at dawn. Sunday afternoon becomes sunnier after brunch. It becomes milder, too, with highs in the middle and upper 60s for families to have time with mom outdoors. Feels like summer, again, with afternoon temps near 80°F.

DETROIT – The Local 4Casters are expecting a dry Mother's Day this year. Temperatures will be a bit cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Here is Meteorologist Paul Gross' forecast posted Tuesday evening:Today’s models are actually coming into agreement with ending that early in the morning, and sunshine developing by afternoon. If this timing pans out, we’ll be able to barbecue and do all sorts of outdoor things to celebrate with Mom. The forecast remained similar by Wednesday morning as Meteorologist Brandon Roux said we should have a "very pleasant end to the weekend."
