The shooting happened about 10 a.m. April 10, 2019, in the 600 block of North St. Louis Avenue, near Ohio Street, leaving two older teens dead and a 29-year-old man in Stroger Hospital with critical injuries, as well as an 18-year-old shot in the chest. DETROIT – Police are looking for Tabitha Brown, a 15-year-old girl who went missing Friday. According to authorities, she was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. when she left her residence in the 8700 block of Orangelawn Street, between Ohio Street and Wyoming Avenue. It was reported that Tabitha Brown is in good physical and mental condition. 63-year-old man killed in shooting on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – A man was fatally shot in a vehicle at about midnight Sunday on Detroit’s west side. According to authorities, a 63-year-old man was found shot sitting in the driver’s seat of a black Oldsmobile Aurora after gunshots were heard. Police said it happened near the intersection of Stawell Avenue and Ohio Street, just east of Oakman Boulevard. Emergency medical crews pronounced the man dead at the scene. Detroit police search for teen, labeled serious missing'
DETROIT Detroit police said a 16-year-old, labeled as serious missing, has not been seen or heard from since Monday morning when he left his home in the 9000 block of Ohio Street. Elijah Jones is described as 6-feet-1-inches tall, brown eyes and short afro hair. Elijah was last seen wearing a blue shirt, yellow jogging pants and black flip flops. Family told police that Elijah is in good shape but suffers from a mental illness. DETROIT Police are looking for help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with an arson on Detroits west side. Surveillance video from the scene captured an unknown man throwing two DIY fire bombs at the back of the house before fleeing the scene. Police describe the suspect as Black man about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and blue shoes. Man shot, killed on porch in Detroit
DETROIT Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 40-year-old man in Detroit on Friday night. According to police at around 10 p.m. the victim was sitting on a porch in the 19100 block of Ohio Street when a suspect approached and allegedly fired multiple shots at him. The victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased, officials said. He is described as a Black man standing between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a slim build. Detroit police investigate home invasion that led to shooting
DETROIT A homeowner shot a 30-year-old man that was attempting to break into her home early Sunday morning. Police say at around 2:15 a.m. the male suspect attempted to force his way into the womans home in the 9900 block of Ohio Street. The man broke her front living room window and the glass of her front door before the woman shot him. The man was taken to the hospital, listed in stable condition and then arrested by Detroit police, officials said.
