After a dry end of the weekend, most of the region is waking up to showers and thunderstorms as you head out the door on Monday morning. And we will keep the chance of showers and thunderstorm thunderstorms into the forecast as we look ahead throughout the next few days.
The thunderstorm activity in the morning, should wind down by the mid-morning hours, and we will see some sunshine as we work through the afternoon and early evening hours on Monday, before more showers and thunderstorms develop through the evening and into the overnight hours. High temperature is warming into the mid 80s by Monday afternoon.
Some thunderstorms could be on the strong to possibly severe side of things. Lenawee and Monroe Counties are under a Slight Risk, 2 out of 5 on our severe weather scale, with places to the north of that under a Marginal Risk, 1 out of 5 on our severe weather scale. Storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall.
Expect chances for showers and thunderstorms to continue looking ahead into next Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of us could be waking up to another round of thunderstorms rolls into the region late tonight and into early Tuesday morning. Before additional chances for showers and thunderstorms roll into the region Tuesday afternoon and evening, and into Wednesday. Temperatures remain remaining on the reasonable side of things, into the low 80s both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Dry weather works into the region, looking ahead into the end of next week. Expect plenty of sunshine for next Thursday, and into the end of the week on Friday. Cooler temperatures will also move into the forecast as well. High temperatures warming into the low 80s by the end of next week. That dry weather continues into the start of next weekend on Saturday. High temperatures going a little below average. Expect highs into the upper 70s by next Saturday afternoon.
