Monroe County hit-and-run, armed robbery suspect arrested after police pursuit into Toledo
TOLEDO โ The Monroe County Sheriffโs Office is investigating a string of crimes after a two-state police pursuit Saturday night. Just after 5 p.m., a Monroe County Sheriffโs deputy in Lambertville, just north of Toledo, was informed by a citizen of a damaged black Impala parked at a Rite Aid Pharmacy located near the intersection of Secor and Sterns roads. Deputies pursued the suspect southbound into Toledo, where they turned the pursuit over to the Toledo Police Department, who took the man into custody. He is currently lodged at the Lucas County Jail, pending extradition to Michigan for face charges of armed robbery, felonious assault and more. Man shot more than 10 times while stopped at red light in Detroit, police say
DETROIT โ Two people were injured in a shooting while stopped at a red light, police said. The shooting happened at 7 Mile Road and Dequindre Street in Detroit at 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday. A 24-year-old man was shot more than 10 times and privately conveyed to a hospital, police said. A 22-year-old woman was transported by medics to a hospital and is in stable condition. Both victims were inside a red Chevrolet Impala.
Clawson police want help finding a missing 87-year-old woman
CLAWSON, Mich. Police are asking for help locating a missing 87-year-old woman. Gloria McRae was last seen on Sunday. She could be driving a tan 2008 Chevrolet Impala. Family told police the car has a dent on the driver side front door and fender. Click here for more missing person reports
VIDEO: Police seek public assistance in identifying triple shooting suspects
DETROIT - Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating two men wanted in connection with a fatal Aug. 8 shooting. According to authorities, at about 9 p.m. in the 19300 block Westmoreland Road, three men were sitting in a black Chevrolet Impala when a dark Jeep Cherokee approached. As the victims attempted to flee, the Jeep followed, firing multiple shots into the Impala. At about 9:05 p.m., a surveillance camera at a gas station on McNichols Road captured the Jeep pulling up and getting gas. Surveillance video of the two men and the Jeep can be seen above.
Driver fleeing from police causes deadly crash on 8 Mile Road
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - An innocent driver was killed Saturday when their vehicle was struck by someone fleeing the police. The crash happened about a mile away at the intersection of Eight Mile and Inkster roads. Southfield and Farmington Hills police closed down Eight Mile Road for several hours while investigating. Latoya Massey was driving on Eight Mile Road and saw it all unfold. "Police came and grabbed the body out of the black Impala," Massey said.
