As we all gear up for our holiday celebrations and look forward to spending time with family, itโs important to remember there are children inside of this hospital and other hospitals across the state that wonโt get to see their families and loved ones on Christmas.

Darius Julius Hammond Swan is in custody Friday (March 4) on a $1M bond. Warren police and the U.S. Marshals picked Hammond-Swan up Friday after three-month-old twins were taken to Childrenโs Hospital with terrible injuries. One of the babies suffered a fractured skull while the other had fluid on the brain.
11-year-old boy rings bell, signaling end of cancer treatment
DETROIT โ An 11-year-old, who battled and now overcome cancer twice in his lifetime, rang the bell to signal the end of his treatment. After several months, Pedro Martinez was able to leave Childrenโs Hospital. He experienced a relapse earlier this year and had to receive a bone marrow transplant from his father. (This year) 2020 has been a tough year for all of us, and itโs moments like this that really brings us together,โ said Kathy Donovan, chief executive officer of Childrenโs Hospital of Michigan. Childrenโs Hospital of Michigan is home to the regionโs only pediatric bone marrow transplant unit.
Southfield woman found alive at funeral home after wrongfully being declared dead dies
DETROIT โ Timesha Beauchamp died at Childrenโs Hospital today after being wrongly declared dead eight weeks ago and then found alive a short time later inside a Detroit funeral home. The 20-year-oldโs family believes that if the paramedics did their job correctly that day she would still be alive. That is when the Southfield paramedics arrived and tried to resuscitate her. The Beauchamp family released a statement that read, "Our whole family is devastated. โThe City of Southfield sends its deepest sympathies to the Timesha Beauchamp family on her passing.
