Bringing Country music to Detroit
When people think of country music, Detroit isnโt usually the first city that comes to mind. Ankley said that there is already a huge audience for country music in the Detroit area. According to Ankley, one country radio station, 99.5 WYCD, is actually known as one of the biggest country music stations in the nation. Before Coronavirus, they hosted Festivals at Hart Plaza and DTE Energy Music Theatre that would draw massive crowds.

Dixie Chicks are finally back with a new song
If you look up the definition of โgaslightโ in the dictionary, it will tell you โto cause a person to doubt his or her sanity through the use of psychological manipulation,โ and thatโs what the Dixie Chicksโ new song, โGaslighter," is exactly about. Itโs hard to believe, but itโs been 14 years since weโve been blessed with a new album from these country queens, and it seems like theyโre picking up right where they left off after the success of their hit song โNot Ready To Make Nice.โThe Dixie Chicks have never been afraid to say what they think. Who can forget when they made those comments about President George W. Bush? The Dixie Chicks donโt hold anything back, and Maines has never sounded better ripping through the verses of the song. The album โGaslighterโ officially drops May 1, and until then, you can play the song โGaslighterโ over and over and over again.
