(CNN) - The fall nor'easter spinning southeast of New England strengthened into Subtropical Storm Melissa on Friday, according to the National Hurricane Center. ET, the storm was about 190 miles south of Nantucket, Massachusetts with maximum sustain winds of 65 mph. That means wind gusts up to 50 mph and coastal flooding from the mid-Atlantic to southeastern New England, the hurricane center said. The storm is forecast to begin moving away from the US on Friday night and gradually weaken over the next couple of days. It's expected to be a post-tropical system by Saturday night, the hurricane center said.

It remains mild overnight with wet weather arriving. Overnight lows will be in the 60s, and drivers must use caution on wet surfaces. WLS via CNN(CNN) - The alligator that somehow ended up in Chicago's Humboldt Park has finally been caught. Chance the Snapper, as he came to be known, had been on the loose in the park for almost a week -- forcing a partial shutdown of the site. Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told CNN Tuesday the alligator was caught sometime overnight. The city brought in St. Augustine, Florida, alligator expert Frank Robb on Sunday to help capture Chance.
