Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken Meal products produced and packaged on September 2, 2020 have been recalled. The FDA reported Saturday Nestlรฉ is recalling approximately 92,206 pounds of LEAN CUISINE Baked Chicken meal products after the company received multiple consumer complaints involving hard white plastic found in the products. The company believes pieces of a plastic conveyor belt that broke during production could be the cause. The baked chicken meal products were produced and packaged on September 2, 2020. Public health alert issued for ready to eat meat and poultry products due to possible foreign matter contamination
WASHINGTON โ The U.S. Department of Agricultureโs Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing a public health alert for ready-to-eat meat and poultry bowl products, due to concerns that the products may be contaminated with extraneous material, specifically glass. FSIS is issuing this public health alert out of the utmost of caution to ensure that consumers are aware that these products should not be consumed. The ready-to-eat meat and poultry items for this public health alert were produced by Taylor Farms in Dallas, Texas on Oct. 5 and Oct. 6. The following products subject to the public health alert are:10-oz. plastic bowl package containing โMEAL SIMPLE SPAGHETTI SQUASH AND PEPPERONIโ with lot code TDF279AU23 and best by 10/15/2020; or lot code TDF280AU23 and best by 10/16/2020.
Meijer recalls whole, cut cantaloupe sold in Michigan due to salmonella risk
Meijer stores have announced a recall of whole cantaloupe and select cut cantaloupe fruit trays and bowls due to a potential risk of salmonella. Officials announced Wednesday a voluntary recall of whole and cut cantaloupe sold at Meijer stores between September 26 and October 5 in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. The recalled cantaloupe products originated from Eagle Produce, LLC in Aguila, Arizona, officials said. Customers who purchased recalled products should not consume them -- recalled products can be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. Select cut cantaloupe products may have also been used in Meijerโs store-made products.
ALDI frozen dessert recalled for undeclared cashew allergen
A vegan frozen dessert has been recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for potentially containing an undisclosed cashew allergen. As of July 31 the FDA has recalled non-dairy frozen desserts by the brand Earth Grown because they may contain an undeclared cashew allergen. Officials say the recalled products will be removed from ALDI stores and the company is conducting a review of their allergen controls. Salad products recalled due to possible health risk from Cyclospora
The FDA says Fresh Express has issued a voluntary recall of branded and private label salad products that contain iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and/or carrot ingredients due to a possible health risk from Cyclospora. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 200 illnesses have been reported in connection with a current outbreak of Cyclospora occurring in primarily Midwest states. The Fresh Express recall includes only those salads that are clearly marked with the letter Z at the beginning of the Product Code, which is located in the upper right-hand corner of the front of the package. Products containing the ingredients iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and/or carrots AND displaying the Product Code Z178, or a lower number, are recalled. No other Fresh Express products are subject to recall.
Nabisco voluntarily recalls select boxes of Cheese Nips
Nabisco has announced the voluntary recall of 11-ounce boxes of Cheese Nips because they may contain small pieces of yellow plastic. The company noticed the yellow plastic pieces on the manufacturing equipment that came from a dough scraper. Consumers are advised to not eat the recalled crackers and to throw them away.
