Metro Detroit weather: More snowflakes, but a milder start today
It’s a milder start, with temperatures early this Tuesday morning in the low to mid 30s (0 to 2 degrees Celsius). Highs will reach the low 40s (5 degrees Celsius), but it’ll be noticeably breezy with a west wind at 10 to 20 mph. Lows in the low 30s (-1 to 0 degrees Celsius), which is near freezing so watch out for icy patches first thing Wednesday morning. Mostly clear Thursday night, with lows near 20 degrees (-7 degrees Celsius). Highs in the low 40s (5 degrees Celsius).
Serious crash shuts down southbound lanes of Lodge Freeway
DETROIT – A serious collision shut down the southbound lanes of the Lodge Freeway in Detroit Sunday night. Video from the scene shows at least two vehicles were involved near Chicago Boulevard. It’s unknown when the southbound lanes will reopen. Police have not released further details at the time.

Body of fatally shot tow truck driver found on Lodge Service Drive on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – The body of a 62-year-old tow truck driver was found Saturday laying on the Lodge Service Drive. According to authorities, the man was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of the John C Lodge Service Drive and Wyoming Avenue. Lodge Freeway shut down at Davison in Wayne County due to flooding
DETROIT – The Lodge Freeway has been shut down at Davison Freeway in Wayne County due to flooding, officials said. Michigan Department of Transportation officials say the southbound lanes are affected. It’s unclear when the freeway will reopen. A flash flood warning was issued for Wayne County around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday. It expired at 3:45 p.m.
