$2,500 reward offered for information on shooter who targeted Detroit officers
DETROIT Detroit police and the US Marshals are searching for a person wanted in connection with a shooting targeting officers that happened on the citys west side around 3:15 a.m. Aug. 27. During the shooting officers from the 8th precinct were shot at by an unknown person inside a white Kia while investigating outside a motel on Telegraph near 6 Mile Road. He is described as Black, has long dreadlock braids, was wearing a black shirt, orange shorts, brown shoes and armed with a long gun. The US Marshals are offering a $2,500 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-2260.

‘Operation Legend’ to bring federal agents to Detroit: Here’s what that will look like
DETROIT – US officials on Wednesday provided additional details regarding “Operation Legend” -- which is bringing a number of federal agents to Detroit in the coming weeks. “Operation Legend continues and expands what we have been doing for decades, which is sending federal agents and money to Detroit to fight gun and gang violence,” Schneider said. The governor of Oregon did announce Wednesday that federal agents will begin leaving Portland. Wanted man found, arrested in connection with fatal hit-and-run motorcycle crash in Detroit after 11 months
DETROIT A man wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Detroit has been found and arrested after nearly a year in hiding. On July 28, 2019, 31-year-old Herman Walters was riding a motorcycle when a high-speed driver slammed into him on the southbound Southfield Service Drive near Schoolcraft Street. Walters, also known as Rocky, died at the hospital following the incident. Marshals have been searching for the man after he fled the scene and went into hiding following the crash.
