Woman killed in violent crash on Gratiot Avenue in Roseville
ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 24-year-old woman was killed Monday morning when her vehicle crashed along Gratiot Avenue in Roseville. Southbound Gratiot Avenue was closed from Utica Road to Martin Road after the deadly crash. Investigators with Roseville police say that initial reports indicated the vehicle that caused the crash was traveling near 100 miles per hour, lost control and struck two other vehicles. Investigators with Roseville police say that initial reports indicate the vehicle that caused the crash was traveling near 100 miles per hour, lost control and struck two other vehicles. One of the vehicles struck a nearby building, causing substantial damage. A 24-year-old woman who was driving one of the vehicles was killed. The other drivers are expected to be OK.Police continue to investigate the crash.

Macomb County offers new COVID-19 vaccination site for seniors 60 and older
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Through a partnership with SMART, Macomb County is offering a new vaccination location in Sterling Heights. The vaccination site is at the Sterling Heights Senior Center on Utica Road, between Schoenherr and Van Dyke roads. It’s why the Macomb County Health Department partnered with SMART to help distribute the coronavirus vaccine. Macomb County executive Mark Hackel said the new site is currently dedicated to vaccinating Macomb County residents and workers who are 60-years-old and older. Child dies in Roseville babysitters care following unreported traffic crash, police say
ROSEVILLE, Mich. A 2-year-old child has died while in the care of a babysitter following an unreported accident that occurred on Sunday, police say. Officials say the child, their siblings and their babysitter were involved in a traffic incident over the weekend somewhere in Warren. The childs cause of death is currently unknown at this time. Roseville police say it is currently unclear if the unreported traffic crash contributed to the childs death. We will be seeking the highest appropriate charges if any in this tragic loss of a child, the Roseville Police Department said in a press release.
Michigan AG to review 2018 case of Shelby Township police killing of 25-year-old man
A Shelby Township police officer is on leave after a deadly shooting at an apartment complex. On Nov. 3, 2018 a Shelby Township police officer shot and killed 25-year-old Kanwarbir Malhi, who was allegedly armed and acting aggressively toward police. Officials say Malhi, of Shelby Township, had stolen a car from his parents, who called police to report the theft. Protesters in Portland have already been facing off with federal agents over the last few days, and tensions are rising in Chicago. AdThe White House released on Wednesday that federal agents are expected to be sent to Detroit over the next three weeks.
Driver runs red light, hits Roseville police cruiser
ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A driver ran a red light and hit a Roseville police cruiser Thursday, officials said. According to police, the officer was driving south on Gratiot Avenue when a Chevrolet pickup truck ran the red light at the crossover from northbound Gratiot to northbound Utica Road at about 8 p.m. The truck rolled onto its side after hitting the police cruiser, police said. Police said alcohol or drugs don’t appear to be factors in the crash. The pickup truck driver was not arrested.
