Juicery, sushi restaurants open in Ann Arbor’s 777 Building
ANN ARBOR, MI -- Two Ann Arbor restaurants have opened on the first floor of the 777 Building in Ann Arbor. Kanbu Shushi and The Thrivery, formerly known as Thrive Juicery, opened at 777 Eisenhower Parkway in July. 777 Eisenhower Parkway is the headquarters of Ann Arbor commercial real estate company Oxford Companies. The juicery has already seen traction from both Ann Arbor and nearby Saline residents, Mignery said. “We’re excited we can offer other locations.”Kanbu Sushi opened at 777 Eisenhower Parkway in mid-July.

Ann Arbor mayor’s appointments to Planning Commission draw objections
ANN ARBOR, MI — Two new members are joining Ann Arbor’s Planning Commission, but their appointments were the subject of debate at City Council this week. Lee is an asset manager for local real estate firm Oxford Companies, which controls many properties in Ann Arbor, and Clarke until earlier this year was a real estate transaction specialist for nonprofit affordable housing provider Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor. Taylor said he considers Lee’s commercial real estate expertise an extremely valuable benefit and the Planning Commission lacked someone with that experience. “I would embrace the opportunity to dive deeper into transportation issues at the policy level in my hometown of Ann Arbor,” she wrote. Alex Milshteyn, a local real estate agent, has served on the commission for years and also has made campaign contributions to the mayor’s allies.

New Ann Arbor mural celebrates city culture, University of Michigan student life

Located behind Potbelly Sandwich Shop on the corner of Liberty and State streets, the 15-foot mural creates a head-turning three-dimensional illusion while depicting iconic Ann Arbor landmarks and buildings. Commissioned by building owner Oxford Companies and created by Dearborn-based Mathew Sharum, the mural shows the vibrancy of the city and the excitement of student life. One side of the mural shows images of student life, like graduation, University of Michigan buildings and a hoard of charging athletes. The mural joins the citys exciting public art scene and faces a mural created by Ann Arbors own TreeTown Murals.
