(CBS DETROIT) – Detroit Police are seeking to locate two suspects wanted in connection to a shooting that happened on the city’s west side. It happened March 12 at 10:09 p.m. at a gas station located in the 10000 block of Rosa Parks Boulevard where police say two suspects exited a gold older model Dodge Caravan. The suspects re-entered their vehicle and fled the scene, driving southbound on Rosa Parks Boulevard. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, ripped black jeans, and a cross-body style fanny pack. Detroit police seek missing 29-year-old woman last seen Friday
DETROIT – Police are looking for Charmaignette Vanzant, a 29-year-old woman last seen early Friday morning. According to authorities, Vanzant was last seen at about 1 a.m. at her residence in the 16000 block of Log Cabin Street, just west of the intersection of Puritan Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard. Vanzant is described as being 5 feet tall and weighing about 120 pounds. Woman shot 11 times in 4th Highland Park homicide in 6 weeks, police say
HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – A woman was shot 11 times Wednesday in Highland Park, marking the fourth homicide in the city in about six weeks. Highland Park Det. It was dark at the time of the shooting, so nobody saw the person who killed Green, according to officials. Man and woman shot multiple times in Detroit by unknown shooters
DETROIT Police are investigating a double shooting that happened Saturday around 11:30 p.m. near Rosa Parks Boulevard and Lamothe Avenue. Police say a 27-year-old woman and 32-year-old man reported that they were driving in the area when an unknown man and woman started firing shots at them. Both of the victims were shot multiple times. The driver in the car where shots were fired hit several vehicles before fleeing the scene. Inside the redevelopment of a church-turned-coffee shop near Boston-Edison
Near Boston-Edison, a modest brick church with a long history has been brought back to life. On Thursday, March 5, the building on Rosa Parks Boulevard will reopen as the Congregation, a coffee shop, bar, and community event space. The redevelopment seeks to bring a useful amenity to the community as well as revive a place that had been vacant since 2014. The large and central arched window was uncovered with double-pane glass installedthe space now fills with light during the day. DETROIT - Fort Street is closed from Rosa Parks Boulevard to Trumbull Avenue for bridgework starting Friday, Oct. 4 and lasting until early December, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. DetoursNorthbound M-85 will be detoured via southbound Rosa Parks Boulevard, northbound Jefferson Avenue and northbound Cabacier Street back to northbound M-85. Southbound M-85 will be detoured via northbound Trumbull Avenue, southbound West Lafayette Boulevard, and southbound Rosa Parks Boulevard back to southbound M-85.
