Saturday evening will be cloudier and will become chillier. A few rain drops and snowflakes are possible mainly north of the city and in the thumb. It becomes colder Saturday night and for sunrise services for Easter.

It remains cold Saturday afternoon, but much of Friday and Saturday morning snow diminishes. It remains subfreezing all day, but afternoon temperatures will be in the middle 20s. Sunset is at 6:13 p.m.Saturday evening will be partly cloudy and cold. Under fair to partly cloudy skies, temperatures plummet to the single digits. Skies will be partly sunny with a mercury getting close to 40°F or more.

DETROIT – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan until noon Tuesday. The Valentines Day 2021 Storm that is bringing snow and ice to Texas and the Deep South is becoming Presidents Day Snow Storm 2021 for Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Two rounds of snow are due; one in the morning and the other from late Monday to early Tuesday. Metro Detroit weather: Snow ends, temperatures drop Sunday night

After one to three inches of new snow during the day and this evening, snow showers diminish or leave tonight as temperatures plummet. Wind chills approach and sink below zero tomorrow morning. An inch of snow is possible, Monday, with snow falling mainly in the morning. Separate large storms running along the Appalachians will be big enough to bring more snow, Monday night and Tuesday. Well more than 1 inch of snow is possible, but it is too early to tell what exact accumulations will be.

In Detroit and south of 8 Mile, some rain may mix with snow and a trace to 1 inch of snow possible.
