Michigan man leaves debit card with his name on it inside house after using it to break in
ALPENA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Michigan man used a debit card with his name on it to break into a home, then left the card inside and was later arrested, police said. When troopers got to the woman’s house, they found the door had been forced open using a debit card. They said a damaged debit card with Tanner’s name on it was found at the scene. AdTanner was being held at the Kent County Jail on unrelated charges, according to police. He was arraigned from the Kent County Jail on Thursday (March 4) and charged with second-degree home invasion.
Alpena man charged with sexually abusing minor
ALPENA, Mich. – An Alpena man has been arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Michigan State Police were called to investigate a report of sexual abuse of a minor on Saturday. The abuse was reported to have began in 2018, police said. Police said the victim of the abuse reported it to her mother, who then contacted Child Protective Services. He was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
49 guns stolen from Michigan gun store, $5,000 reward offered for information
ALPENA, Mich. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for a northern Michigan gun store burglary. According to authorities, the burglary happened at about 4:15 a.m., Nov. 21 at Full Bore Firearms, located on Crittenden Court in Alpena. Police said two unknown people threw a brick through the front glass window of the building and stole 49 firearms. The burglary is being investigated by officers with the ATF, Michigan State Police and Alpena County Sheriff’s Office.
