DETROIT – Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to a double homicide that happened Friday at 3:45 p.m. in the 400 block of West Lantz Street in Detroit. According to police, the 18-year-old shooter killed two women including a 18-year-old and 21-year-old. The victims were killed after a verbal altercation between the gunman and several people became physical, police say. 81-year-old carjacked by Warren woman at Somerset Collection
TROY, Mich. – An 81-year-old woman was carjacked at Somerset Collection today, Troy police say. According to Troy police, the incident happened at around 9 a.m. Monday while the victim was in her 2017 Buick Regal on the north side of Somerset Collection. Police say she was then approached by the 29-year-old carjacker from Warren who demanded the vehicle. The incident happened before the mall opened. Other crime related incidents have taken place at the Somerset Collection this year.
Driver wanted for Detroit hit-and-run crash that killed 28-year-old man
DETROIT – Police are asking for assistance in locating the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened Monday at 10:55 p.m. in the area of East 8 Mile Road and Russell. The driver of the Durango never stopped after hitting the victim. Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling south on Schoenherr and making a left onto Bringard Drive traveling east. As of Monday afternoon police had located the vehicle, but were still in search of the driver. Farmington Hills man charged in connection with string of Livonia robberies
LIVONIA, Mich. – Farmington Hills resident Norman Fuchs, 45, is facing charges in connection with a string of robberies, according to the Livonia Police Department. In recent weeks a significant number of breaking and entering incidents have taken place in Livonia. During the incidents Fuchs would allegedly break into the businesses by prying open the doors or using a sledgehammer to get inside them. Livonia police say Fuchs broke into nine Livonia businesses including Cantoro Italian Market, the UPS store, IHOP restaurant, Mary’s Grill restaurant and five other businesses in the Buckingham Plaza. On Saturday, Livonia police released footage of one of the breaking and entering incidents.
Hamtramck business owner stabbed, suspect shot in attempted robbery
HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – Police are seeking information about an attempted robbery that took place Friday around 12:30 p.m. at a business in the 9500 block of Jos Campau in Hamtramck. When officers arrived to investigate the scene they discovered the owner of the business was stabbed during the attempted robbery. Police say the suspect was shot during the course of the incident. Both the suspect and business owner were taken to the hospital for treatment afterward. As of Friday the condition of the victim and suspect were unknown.

Knife-wielding man who assaulted mother in Plymouth barricaded situation arrested
PLYMOUTH, Mich. – A 40-year-old man involved in a barricaded Plymouth situation that happened Saturday has been arrested. He is awaiting charges by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. On Saturday before 3 p.m. officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 300 block of Pinewood Circle in Plymouth. $500 reward offered for information leading to arrest in case of abandoned dogs
DETROIT Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator who abandoned two dogs in an outdoor pen at the shelters Greenfield location on Friday, Aug 7. Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. that day, two dogs were left abandoned in an outdoor pen at Friends for Animals of Metro Detroits Intake Center at 2661 Greenfield Road in Dearborn. The dogs, both estimated to be around a year old, are a male German Shepherd the shelter has named Billy, and a female boxer mix the shelter has named Honey. Shelter staff found the dogs together in the pen when they reported to work on Saturday morning. A reward of $500 will be given for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
Hamtramck police seek man wanted for robbing pharmacy of prescription pills
HAMTRAMCK, Mich. Hamtramck police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a pharmacy robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday at 1:56 p.m. the robber entered the Hamtramck pharmacy and requested a prescription. While at the counter, the robber pulled out a black handgun, and pointed it at the workers behind the counter demanding several narcotics not prescribed to him. 16-year-old shot in Detroit by unknown shooter
DETROIT A 16-year-old was shot in the area of Fenkell and Ferguson at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Detroit police say. The victim was in the passenger seat of a vehicle when someone fired shots striking him.
