Police arrest gunman after standoff in Warren
WARREN, Mich. โ Police arrested an armed man at the end of a standoff in Warren. Warren Police Departmentโs Special Response team responded to a home near Toepfer and Hoover roads. Police said the standoff started after an argument between a couple at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Police said that at some point, the man fired four shots. Police negotiated with the man and eventually took him into custody.

A 42-year-old man allegedly shot his wife, 52, before shooting and killing himself at a Sunoco gas station on Nine Mile and Hoover roads. Man faces judge in Warren hate crime, asks for forgiveness
WARREN, Mich. โ Michael John Frederick Jr. is accused of firing shots into the home of a family of veterans, slashing their tires, smashing a window, vandalizing their truck with a swastika, expletives and the words โNot Welcome.โFrederick faced Judge Michael Chupa Thursday, where he said he wanted the Hall family to forgive him. WARREN, Mich. โ A press conference was held Wednesday afternoon to release details into the arrest of a man in connection with a hate crime investigation in Warren. Teams were sent out to knock on every door south of 11 Mile Road and west of Hoover Road. Investigators believe it was their Black Lives Matter sign that set off a 24-year-old delivery truck driver who lives with his parents around the corner. Police said he confessed to crimes against the Hall family and against another home that had โPedophileโ spray painted on the garage door because they had a Joe Biden sign. WARREN, Mich. โ Warren police are still searching for the person who shot and killed a mother who was waiting in the parking lot of a Warren store to pick her daughter up from work. Someone approached Jennifer Wentzโs car with a gun and shot her from behind, police said. Warren police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said the left, rear window of Wentzโs car was open. Store employees heard the shots, looked outside and saw that Wentzโs car had somehow been put into gear. โSome cheap so-and-so that doesnโt know how to work for a living decided to rob somebody and kill somebody,โ a worker said.
