Courts was a five-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department, a husband, a father of two, and the son of a recently retired Detroit police officer. In a Facebook post this week, Detroit Police Department officials announced his son, Darian Courts, was gifted the vehicle Monday, July 25. The post read: “Loren Courts had been saving up to buy his son a car before his tragic death.
