Livonia police seek missing 52-year-old woman
LIVONIA, MIch. โ Police are asking for help finding a missing 52-year-old woman. According to authorities, Christine Novotnik was last seen Thursday near the intersection of Five Mile and Levan roads. Police said she lives near the intersection of Five Mile and Merriman roads and frequently walks the area. Reward offered for information in deadly hit-and-run in Wayne
WAYNE, Mich. โ Nine years after Chris Lentz was killed in a hit-and-run on New Yearโs Day on 2011. The person responsible has still not come forward. The collision happened at about 3 a.m. near the intersection of Merriman and Van Born roads in Wayne. A $2,500 reward for information is still available. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
77-year-old Huron Township woman with dementia is missing
HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Officials are looking for a missing 77-year-old woman. Huron Township officials did not release her name. Police said she has black and gray shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing a dark long sleeve striped shirt, light blue pants and white Croc shoes. Nasty stretch of Merriman Road in Livonia to undergo resurfacing beginning July 6
LIVONIA, Mich. โ One of the most cratered and crumbling sections of Merriman Road in Livonia will undergo a $1.73 million resurfacing project starting Monday, July 6. The city of Livonia is alerting drivers about reduced lanes and slow travel on Merriman Road from Plymouth Road to Schoolcraft (I-96 Service Drive) starting Monday as the road is resurfaced and repaired. The city says initial work will begin on the outside lanes in each direction, with motorists allowed to drive in lanes adjacent to the center turn lane. Once the outside lanes are resurfaced, traffic will be allowed on the outside lanes. The Wayne County Department of Public Service is in charge the $1.73 million road improvement that includes about one mile of hot mix asphalt, cold milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement repair, sidewalk ramps and pavement markings.

LIVONIA, Mich. โ Two robbers have been arrested after they targeted a Livonia woman at gunpoint in her driveway, police said. The robbery happened around 1 p.m. Sunday in the 30800 block of Robert Drive in Livonia. Police said the 52-year-old woman was in the middle of unpacking her van in the driveway when the men approached. โHe made me take off my coat and he searched and asked me if I had any money on me,โ the woman said. One of the men was arrested by Livonia officers in Wyandotte.
