Its something Ive longed to do since I was in high school, and now this month, my 20th book is being released by Sleeping Bear Press. Its the most recent addition to the series of memoirs that have been the result of a collaboration between me and the amazing illustrator Tim Bowers. The first of the series was a book called Memoirs of a Goldfish, which was published in 2010. And its led to a continuing partnerships on several other memoirs Memoirs of a Hamster, Memoirs of a Parrot and Memoirs of an Elf followed, and now theyre joined by Tortoise (which I should note it quite different from the comedies of the previous books). DETROIT – Today was Grant Hermes first day as a weekend morning news anchor for Local 4 News. He will join co-anchor Priya Mann and meteorologist Andrew Humphrey and continue to report for various other newscasts during the week. We captured a few highlights from this morning’s newscast. Hermes joined WDIV-Local 4 in April after five years at KWTV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he was morning anchor and reporter. You can watch the newscast in the video player above.

Paul Gross: Yep, it’s Friday the 13th. Is that a bad thing for you? Doesn’t matter? A good thing? I fall into the “doesn’t matter” category. I guess this scientist is dubious about all superstitions. I’ve walked under many ladders, with no adverse repercussions. I’ve also broken a small mirror, and I don’t think anything bad happened to me. As for Friday the 13th? Same thing…I don’t remember having any bad luck just because it was the 13th day of the month and, coincidentally, it fell on a Friday.
