Garden City police investigating after man, woman found dead in apparent murder-suicide
GARDEN CITY, Mich. โ Police said a man and woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide early Wednesday afternoon in Garden City. At about 12:29 p.m., authorities received a call about a man firing a gun at a woman in front of a home on Windsor Street near Henry Ruff Road. Responding officers found the two people outside of a home from apparent gunshot wounds. Police said a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was found nearby. Police said both people were not members of the community, and at the time of the incident, the woman was in the city working on a home on Windsor Street.

Garden City police buy ballistic vests, helmets for firefighters
GARDEN CITY, Mich. โ Garden City police gifted the cityโs firefighters with ballistic vest and helmets this week. According to police, the vests and helmets would be used if there is an active shooter situation because the police and fire departments are developing a response to such situations. The police decided to pay it forward after K-9 Rudy received a donated ballistic vest. The Garden City Kiwanis hosted a special fundraiser to purchase Rudyโs body armor.
Garden City police seek man wanted in connection with home invasion
GARDEN CITY, Mich. โ Garden City police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion last month. Police said the man broke into a home at about 2 p.m. on Jan. 30. Police did not specify the exact location of the home because of the ongoing investigation, but they said it was between Ford Road and Marquette Street and between Hubbard Street and Venoy Road.
