Itโs the holiday season and many people are in a festive spirit. Well, one historic home in Grosse Pointe Shores is all decked out for Christmas - The Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate. While youโre there to see the sights, you can also grab a bite to eat at their restaurant which is serving up some classic dishes with a modern twist.
St. Clair Shores police release new video of wild chase that ended with gunshots
The incident took place on Jan. 28 when police in Grosse Pointe Shores tried to stop a car for a traffic violation. There were two chases: The first one ended in Grosse Pointe Shores and a second that finished off on Jefferson Avenue and Revere Street.

An all-new outdoor spectacle is lighting up the night at a local landmark. This mesmerizing light show is called Starry Lights and it can be experienced on the grounds of the historic estate of Edsel and Eleanor Ford along the shore of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Shores.
Grosse Pointe Shores man receives hate mail because of Black Lives Matter sign
GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. โ A local attorney who was recently ticketed for his Black Lives Matter sign now has a new set of problems. While the ticket was thrown out, Todd Perkins is dealing with hate mail being sent to his home. Inside the letter sent to his Grosse Pointe Shores home was a poem full of racial slurs and signage designed to be a jab at his Black Lives Matter sign in the front yard. Why do people think that Black Lives Suck,โ said Perkins. There was a return address on the hate mail sent to Perkins.
Grosse Pointe Shores City Hall closing until further notice, officials say
GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. โ The Village of Grosse Pointe Shores City Hall is closing until further notice, officials said Saturday. Grosse Pointe Shores residents can continue to contact city administration offices and the public safety department amid the building closure, officials said. The closure comes as Michigan continues to see significant increases in COVID-19 cases each day. On Saturday, the state reported 7,072 new COVID-19 cases and 65 new deaths since Friday. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Michigan has risen to a total 251,813 as of Saturday, including 7,994 total deaths.

Kila Peeples took a tour of the picturesque Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, where you can enjoy a stroll around the serene scene. The history behind the house is very interesting. It is where Edsel and Eleanor Ford raised their family, and when Eleanor passed away in 1976, she requested the house be open to the public.
