Teen hunter killed when run over by corn harvester near Caseville
CASEVILLE, Mich. โ A 14-year-old deer hunter who possibly fell asleep in a farm field was killed when he was run over by a corn harvester in Michiganโs Thumb region, police said. Emergency workers were called about 9 a.m. Saturday to the cornfield in a rural area near the Huron County city of Caseville after a farm worker spotted the boy soon after accidentally driving over him, according to the county sheriffโs office. The boy from the nearby city of Elkton had been dropped off earlier for deer hunting at the field and might have fallen asleep, the sheriffโs office said. The farm worker wasnโt aware that anyone was in the field. The boyโs identity wasnโt immediately released by authorities and an autopsy was expected to be performed in the coming days.
77-year-old Huron Township woman with dementia is missing
HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Officials are looking for a missing 77-year-old woman. Huron Township officials did not release her name. Police said she has black and gray shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing a dark long sleeve striped shirt, light blue pants and white Croc shoes. Huron County Sheriff deputy charged with indecent exposure
A deputy with the Huron County Sheriffs Office has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent exposure after he was accused of exposing himself multiple times to a Port Austin woman. Patrick OBrien was arraigned Thursday on the charges following an investigation by Michigan State Police and reviewed by the Attorney Generals Office, according to a press release. The incidents occurred between July 26 and 27 in Port Austin when OBrien reportedly exposed himself multiple times intentionally and masturbated in an area visible to the public through a window of his home. He was off duty at the times of the reported incidents, the press release read. OBrien was placed on administrative leave.
