Artoberfest brings local artists, food vendors to Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR, MI -- The Guild of Artists & Artisans will be hosting its inaugural A2 Artoberfest Fine Art Fair in early October, featuring 100 artists, live entertainment and food vendors, among other activities. Artoberfest will take place on Fourth Avenue from East Huron Street and East Kingsley Street and on Ann Street between Main Street and Fifth Street. Participants can bring an item to stamp with one of the three artist-designed manhole covers used in Ann Arbor or create a stamp of their own. The fair will also feature food vendors and several vendors selling adult beverages, including the Ann Arbor Distilling Company, Bløm Meadworks and Graham + Fisk’s Wine-in-a-can. Gutman Gallery in downtown Ann Arbor to kick off newest exhibition Friday

The Guild’s Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair to take over South University section of annual event
ANN ARBOR – The Ann Arbor Art Fair is the largest juried art fair in the country, and event organizers just announced a major change for the 2021 fair and beyond. Until now, the event has consisted of four fairs that seamlessly create what appears to be one massive fair: the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original, the South University Art Fair and the State Street Art Fair. AdSince the South University Area Association dissolved in December 2020, it was unclear what would happen with this year’s fair. Although the South University Area Association plans to regroup sometime this year, art fair was not on the table. “Moving forward we will do everything we can to respect the integrity and history of the Ann Arbor South University Fair while also incorporating some of the Guild’s structures,” wrote Delhey.
Gutman Gallery in downtown Ann Arbor accepting submissions for upcoming exhibition
The Gutman Gallery is accepting submissions from all artists for its upcoming exhibition that kicks off on March 19, 2021. The exhibition will run at the gallery at 118 N. 4th Ave. March 19-May 1. The Guild of Artists & Artisans presents the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair -- the Ann Arbor Art Fair’s largest fair -- each year. ANN ARBOR – The Guild of Artists & Artisans will be holding its first-ever Holiday Artist Market in its downtown Gutman Gallery from Nov. 4 to December 23. From Black Friday through Christmas Eve, the gallery will have extended holiday hours in its festive, warm space. The Gutman Gallery will also be participating in both downtown Ann Arbor’s Midnight Madness and Kerrytown Market’s Festive Fridays. Ann Arbors The Guild hosts Bob Ross inspired Happy Little Videos competition
ANN ARBOR, Mich. The Guild of Artists & Artisans in Ann Arbor is hosting a Bob Ross inspired art competition for its members. Until Friday, artists and artisans of The Guild can submit Happy Little Videos of themselves making art in the spirit of Bob Ross for the competition. From May 27 to June 3, community members will be able to watch and vote for their favorite videos through The Guild Facebook page. The Virtual Art series can be found on The Guild Facebook page. The nonprofit artisan guild is known for its annual Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, which was canceled this year due to the COVID-19 crisis.
