Father, daughter meet for the first time after 50 years
HOUSTON โ It was an emotional reunion for one Tomball, Texas father and his daughter, who were separated at her birth and then came together again after 50 years. Winskiโs daughter, Kerri Beggs, said at the age of 19, she began a quest to find her biological father. Beggs, who now lives in Tucson, Arizona, took a plane to Hobby Airport on Friday, a flight that was delayed. For the first time after a lifetime of missing each other, the father and daughter embraced each other. Pet adoption fees reduced during Empty the Shelters event next weekend
DETROIT โ BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) is working with 160 shelter partners in 33 states to reduce adoption fees and find forever homes for pets during an Empty the Shelters event. The event will run from Oct. 1 through Oct. 4. During the event, BPF sponsors adoption fees so adopters pay $25 or less. โBy sponsoring adoption fees during ETS, we make it a win-win for everyone involved.โAll the pets included in the Empty the Shelters event will be microchipped and spayed/neutered. BPF will also honor foster-to-adopt cases that begin Oct. 1-4 and are finalized up to one week after the event.
Empty the Shelters: Pet adoption fees reduced this weekend
BISSELL Pet Foundations (BPF) Empty the Shelters (ETS) event will take place July 10-12. More than 160 of BPFs shelter and rescue partners are participating in this reduced fee adoption event which will aim to find forever homes for thousands of cats and dogs. Nows the time to adopt a new best friend for $25 or less at one of the 40 locations across Michigan. BISSEL said since the program began in 2016, Empty the Shelters has found homes for 37,394 pets and counting. During the COVID-19 pandemic alone, 6,231 pets were adopted during two ETS events executed by appointment only, according to BISSEL.
