Oxford High School student’s shooting death leaves ‘gaping hole in our family’
OXFORD, MI – The family of an Oxford High School student killed in the shooting this week wants people to remember the importance the lives lost. Justin Shilling, 17, died Dec. 1 after he was shot Nov. 30 at the high school in Oakland County. “The loss of Justin leaves such a gaping hole in our family that we cannot conceive of life without him,” the family said in a statement issued Friday, Dec. 3. 4th victim dies in hospital after Oxford High School shooting
OXFORD, MI -- A fourth victim has died after the Tuesday shooting at Oxford High School, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Justin Shilling, 17, died at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac at approximately 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, according to an update from Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe. A total of 11 people were shot, 10 students and a teacher during the Tuesday, Nov. 30 incident at Oxford High School. The sheriff’s office had a preliminary meeting with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office Wednesday morning and is still gathering more information about the shooting.
