SAGINAW, MI — The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum invites kids and their families to a free daytime New Year’s Eve party Saturday, Dec. 31. The party takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 315 W. Genesee Ave. in Saginaw, with a New Year’s countdown every hour on the hour, themed crafts, a DJ, a balloon artist and more festive fun as the clock counts down. The party, dubbed “Project X 2.0,” took place Friday, Aug. 5, on property in the 200 block of Mona Road in Wells Township. TikTok account august5thbash features videos promoting the event, with the most popular having 1.8 million views as of 1:25 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8. Curtis seized the guns, which had been legally purchased though the teens did not have the proper permits to be carrying them, McComb said. The party drew between 400 and 1,000 people, some who came from out of state, McComb said.

Intoxicated driver fleeing police kills man in wheelchair, strikes parked vehicles
DETROIT – An intoxicated driver leaving a prom send-off party is accused of a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a 48-year-old Detroit man in a wheelchair on Thursday, June 2, WDIV Local 4 reports. Wilson allegedly refused to hand over her car keys when other people at the party noticed she was intoxicated, the TV station reports. Police were notified of an intoxicated driver after she allegedly struck and injured two people. As the suspect fled from police, she allegedly hit several parked vehicles and then struck and killed the 48-year-old man at the intersection of Artesian Street and Dayton Avenue in Detroit, the report said. Wilson is charged with operating while intoxicated causing death; reckless driving causing death; fail to stop at accident when at fault, causing death; and resisting and obstructing, police said.

Troy man pulls out shotgun during argument with neighbor over loud party, police say
TROY, Mich. A drunken Troy man pulled out and racked a shotgun after he was told to go back inside and mind his own business during an argument with a 20-year-old about a loud party, police said. Troy officers were called around 9:40 p.m. Friday to the area of 6800 Dublin Fair Road for reports of a loud party. While officers investigated the situation, they heard a loud argument between a 20-year-old Bloomfield Hills man at the party and Christopher Hoggarth, according to authorities. The 20-year-old man was yelling at Hoggarth to go back in his house and to mind his own business, authorities said. When officers ordered him to drop the gun, he ignored them and slowly retreated into his house, according to authorities.
Party-goers trash skating park in southwest Detroit
DETROIT Skateboarders are not fine with party-goers trashing a local park after a long weekend. The whole field basically filled with trash, said local skater Paolo Delapena. There were alcohol bottles and food boxes all over the skating park. Casem pointed out its not from the community that uses the park, but instead outsiders who have found a new hang out spot. While skaters are fine with sharing the park, they want visitors to do their part in keeping it clean.
Report exposes cop shoots another during party at Knights of Columbus in Livonia
