DETROIT – The family of a 37-year-old man is seeking answers three years after he was shot and killed on Detroit’s southwest side. According to Crime Stoppers of Michigan, Gary Williams received a call from an unknown person about attending a birthday party for a mutual friend. Crime Stoppers said Williams was a Michigan native and resided in Arizona for six years prior to his death. The incident happened at about 1:42 a.m. in a parking lot behind an apartment building in the 17000 block of E. 11 Mile Road near Groveland Street. It is believed that he was in the parking lot to meet an unknown person, according to Crime Stoppers.

DETROIT – A Detroit family is seeking justice nearly two years after a 21-year-old man was shot and killed. Dion Bridges was shot at a home on July 4, 2019, on Schoenherr Street near East Seven Road. Family members said Bridges was at a barbecue when someone started shooting from a nearby alley. Bridges’ mother Jerreece Bridges is asking anyone with information to come forward. The person out there who knows they did this, I don’t know how they can live with themselves,” Jerreece Bridges said.

DETROIT – After more than 30 years, a family is hoping the public can help police solve a cold case. Rudolph “Rudy” Mark III was 16 years old when he was killed on May 6, 1987. The incident happened on Northlawn Street near 8 Mile Road and Wyoming Avenue on Detroit’s west side. “My son was five of eight children, killed, murdered for no reason,” said Rudy’s mother Paulette Benton. According to documents filed in federal court, attorneys representing the family of JoAnn Matouk Ramain revealed a new witness has come forward. The witness, Paul Hawk, has sworn under oath that he saw Timothy Matouk with JoAnn near the water the night she went missing. JoAnn Matouk Romain was last seen Jan. 12, 2010, at a prayer service at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms. Timothy Matouk is JoAnn's cousin.
