The victim was a 19-year-old Holland resident, Holland police said. Rescuers responded at 9:49 p.m. Monday to a report that someone went into the water from the dock. Police and firefighters began searching for the victim and immediately sought help from the U.S. Coast Guard and Ottawa County sheriff’s dive team. After hours of searching, rescuers, using sonar equipment, found the body around 2:30 a.m. in about 10 feet of water.

MONROE COUNTY, MI – A drowning victim was pulled from a campground pond in Summerfield Township Friday afternoon and taken to the hospital, police said. Rescue crews were called at 5:10 p.m. June 25, to the KOA Campground, 15600 Tunnicliff Road, for a reported drowning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The Summerfield Township Fire Department arrived at the scene and began searching the area for the victim while the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team was called in to aid in the search, police said. Dive team member Deputy Dave Moore was first to arrive at the scene and within minutes located the victim in the campground’s pond, police said. The victim was taken to Toledo Hospital in Ohio where life-saving measures are in progress, police said.

DETROIT – A 20-year-old man accused of reckless driving was charged Monday in the death of a 9-year-old Detroit boy who was struck while riding an all-terrain vehicle. Daveon Hardiman of Roseville was driving in the wrong direction and over the speed limit Saturday when he struck the ATV, authorities said. Hardiman was charged with reckless driving causing death, the Wayne County prosecutor's office said. The boy was identified as Mai’Juan Calderin. Detroit hotel worker shot after intervening in fight between man and woman
The gunman left the location after the hotel worker intervened then came back and started shooting the 61-year-old victim. DETROIT – On Saturday, a worker at the Downtown Detroit Baymont Inn and Suites was shot and injured after trying to break up a fight between a man and woman. Police added that the gunman was having a verbal altercation with the woman when the hotel worker got involved. The gunman left the location after the hotel worker intervened then came back and started shooting the 61-year-old victim. Police describe the gunman as a 140 pound Black man who is 5 feet, 2 inches tall.

Detroit police investigate possible connection between barricaded situation, injured man dropped off at hospital
DETROIT – Police are investigating whether a man who died after being dropped off at a hospital is connected to a barricaded gunman situation that occurred early Friday morning. Detroit police say at about 12:40 a.m. officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the area of Schoenherr and Pfent streets. Upon arriving, officers discovered several shell casings in front of the home and on the front porch of the home in question. Officials say that during their investigation, police received another call about a 22-year-old man who was dropped off at a hospital and died soon after. Police are investigating whether or not the barricaded situation is connected to the 22-year-old man who was dropped off at the hospital around the same time.
26-year-old Michigan man killed in single vehicle rollover crash
MELVIN, Mich. – A 26-year-old Melvin man was killed in a crash that happened before 5:30 a.m. today. Police say the crash took place near Lapeer and Wales Center roads in Wales Township. The victim’s 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche was traveling eastbound on Lapeer when it went off the road into a ditch and rolled several times ending up on its wheels, police say. As a result the victim was ejected from the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation.
Detroit police investigate after 25-year-old shot, injured while putting cash into ATM
DETROIT – A 25-year-old man was shot by an unknown person on Tuesday in Detroit, police said. The shooting happened at 1:25 a.m. in the 17700 block of West Warren Avenue. The victim told police that he got out of his armored vehicle to put cash into an ATM when an older-model red Chevrolet Impala pulled behind the armored vehicle and someone from inside the Impala shot him. The victim said he jumped back in the armored vehicle, secured the door behind him and the suspect fled the scene. 18-year-old shot outside liquor store at Trinity, 7 Mile on Detroit's west side
DETROIT – An 18-year-old man was shot Tuesday night outside a liquor store at Trinity Street and 7 Mile Road in Detroit. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder and another to his left hand. He told officers he was at the liquor store and heard gunshots when he was about to get into his vehicle. He said he called his cousin to come get him a few blocks away at Lahser and 7 Mile roads. His cousin took him to the hospital.
