Today on What’s the Buzz, Host Jason Carr wanted to know more about our friends of the show- specifically, their pets! Jason said he already has a dog family of Charlie Tickles and Violet, so he brought in Local Veterinarian Corey Gut, comedian Mike Bonner and Co-Founder of The Cohen Brand Vanessa Cohen to talk about their furry (and not so furry) friends.

Are April Fool's Day pranks mean?

Daylight Saving Time is upon us, which means we all lost an hour over the weekend. First, Jason asked if anyone would be able to give up their phone for an hour a day. AdSince most folks have been watching more during quarantine, would anyone be able to give up watching TV or streaming? Finally, Jason asked if anyone would be able to lose an hour of sleep each night. While Cohen said she didn’t notice the missing hour, the other guests were completely opposite.

First, Mimi talked about her inspiration, Maya Angelou. “I always think about her when I think about powerful women in history.”Next, everyone talked about their favorite women in film. Jason and Mimi both talked about Cicely Tyson, who stayed true to herself by only taking roles in films that highlighted African American women. AdFinally, Tati asked about the women in the music industry that inspire everyone. Mimi picked Aretha Franklin, an icon who’s music transcends audiences, and who has performed at multiple presidential inaugurations.

First, it’s December 21st, have you finished all your shopping? AJ is done shopping, but she has not received all her gifts yet, as her delivery dates keep getting pushed back. Do you have a favorite ornament or decoration? A sparkly poinsettia is AJ’s favorite holiday decoration since she loves plants. Mark’s favorite decoration is Dandy, a Christmas Duck, which he says “just brings me joy.” Kerry doesn’t just have one favorite ornament, she has tons of them.

Election Day is tomorrow and that’s What’s The Buzz today. Tati Amare talked with some friends of the show all about the importance of voting, but they stayed away from politics. Joining in to talk about this were Blaine Fowler, the host of the Blaine Fowler Morning Show on 96.3 WDVD, Mimi Brown, a local author and motivational speaker, and AJ Williams, the managing editor of the Michigan Chronicle. The group discussed various topics including if Election Day should be a National holiday, They also talked about feelings of if you could date someone who doesn’t vote. When it comes to the Super Bowl, we know there's a lot more to it than food. Tati asked the group what to do if you are in a house divided and are cheering for different teams. Most of the country tunes into the big game and celebration on Sunday, with one in four people calling in sick the next day. Should the Monday after the Super Bowl be a holiday? Local 4 is the only place you can watch the Super Bowl.

Today's What's The Buzz is all about family gatherings during the holidays. The first topic discussed was, how do you handle who stays where when you have a house full of people? The next topic is how do you address non married couples? Separate room? The last topic discussed was if you are the host, are you responsible for the cost of entertaining?

There were a few interesting topics discussed on What's The Buzz. Our panel talked about holiday shopping and spending habits around the holidays. We asked if they think there's an age limit you should stop buying people gifts and are the holidays too focused on spending? They also discussed if YouTube protects children from inappropriate images? The last topic discussed was the video of Malia Obama smoking and if that's a violation of privacy.

Today's What's The Buzz is all about good vs. bad customers service. How you handle bad customer service on the phone? Do you post a bad review online if you weren't satisfied? Do you demand something in return when you have bad customer service, like a discount on your bill or something for free? How do you handle bad customer service?
