Oakland County deputies search for missing 22-year-old man who ran from hospital transport
PONTIAC, Mich. – Oakland County deputies are searching for a missing 22-year-old man who freed himself from restraints and fled an ambulance while being transported between hospitals, officials said. Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said Kelly was being transported from Ascension Hospital in Southfield to Pontiac General Hospital in an ambulance. During the transport, Kelly freed himself form restraints and fled south on Seminole Street, officials said. He was under clinical petition by the Oakland County Probate Court for mental health issues at the time of his escape, police said. 51-year-old man charged in deadly machete attack in Pontiac, deputies say
PONTIAC, Mich. – A 51-year-old Independence Township man accused of killing a man and injuring another with a machete and steak knife has been charged with first-degree murder, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office said Todd Szyszkowski is also charged with assault with intent to murder and armed robbery. A 59-year-old Pontiac man, who authorities said was injured in the attack, fled the scene to a nearby gas station to report the incident. Deputies said the 59-year-old man had severe lacerations to his head but is in stable condition. AdOfficials said a machete and broken steak knife were found, believing to be the weapons used in the attack.

26-year-old man found dead in Pontiac coney island parking lot, deputies say
PONTIAC, Mich. – A 26-year-old man was found dead in a coney island parking lot in Pontiac, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the Waterford Township man was found at about 9:47 a.m. Wednesday at the D’Antons Coney Island on West Huron Street. The victim’s friend and sister were unable to locate him and searched the area, finding him in a vehicle. Officials said when first responders arrived on the scene, they observed a gunshot wound. Deputies said the suspect is unknown.

3-year-old girl taken by her mother found safe, Oakland County deputies say
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said 3-year-old girl Queen Norton, who was reported missing from Pontiac, has been found safe. Deputies said 3-year-old Queen is with relatives in Georgia and her mother, Shanitra Seay, was arrested by the Atlanta Police Department and will be extradited to Oakland County. Michigan State Police issued an Endangered Missing Advisory for the child on Monday. Police said she was in her father’s car when her mother, Shanitra Seay, stole the vehicle with the child inside. Deputies: 2 men injured in shooting in Pontiac, 4 teens in custody
PONTIAC, Mich. – Two men, ages 21 and 18 years old, were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Pontiac. Upon their arrival, deputies located the two victims, who are from Rochester Hills and Sterling Heights. One of the victims told deputies that they had parked in the area of Warren Avenue and Wayne Street and contacted a friend about the location of a party they planned to attend. After canvassing the area and locating the suspect vehicle involved, four Pontiac residents -- two 17-year-olds, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old -- were taken into custody hours after the shooting during a traffic stop. Deputies located multiple 9mm shell casings in the area as well as surveillance video that captured the incident.

3 people dead after plane crashes into Lyon Township home, sheriff says

Pontiac man wearing work uniform in indecent exposure incident quickly identified, police say
PONTIAC, Mich. – A 20-year-old man from Pontiac was taken into custody Saturday afternoon on suspicion of indecent exposure. According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just before 12:30 p.m. at a Sally Beauty Supply store in the 320 block of Telegraph Road, just north of Cherry Hill Street. Oakland County deputies located the suspect at the Big Lots store where they said he admitted to exposing himself and was taken into custody. A computer check revealed that the suspect was a missing and endangered person out of Southfield. The man is currently housed at the Oakland County Jail pending charges.

Oakland County deputies investigate non-fatal shooting in Pontiac
PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a non-fatal shooting at a home in Pontiac. No injuries were reported among the six victims -- between the ages of 13 and 40. Deputies said the victim reported not knowing the shooter and could not think of anyone who would harm her. Oakland County deputy shot at on I-96 in Livonia, sheriff says

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to host annual ‘Treats for Troops’ candy collection
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Parents wanting to get rid of extra candy after Halloween can donate them to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office for its 11th annual Treats for Troops. The collection is “to send thanks, encouragement, and sweets to our troops overseas,” according to a press release. “Treats for Troops is a great way parents can participate in a community service project with their kids while showing our troops we support them back home,” said Sheriff Michael Bouchard. 18-year-old Pontiac man found shot to death
PONTIAC, Mich. – An 18-year-old man was found shot to death in the 100 block of Thorpe Street in Pontiac on Saturday, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. The man was found dead at around 8:27 p.m. yesterday. The first suspect in the case has been described as a white male driver wearing a green shirt. She is described as a white female with black curly hair, thin, in her late teens and possibly has a small nose piercing. The third suspect is a white man, thin, and was wearing a pink shirt and a baseball hat.

Commerce Township employee cut by razor blades taped on bottom of political sign, deputies say
COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said a Commerce Township employee was cut by razor blades while he was removing a political sign in the right-of-way (within 33 feet of the center of the road) on Sleeth Road. Deputies said as part of his job with the township, the employee was removing the sign that was located 24 feet from the center of the road. The employee was cut on three fingers from the blades that were taped on the bottom of the sign. Deputies said the homeowner indicated that their signs were taken, and when they returned home from out of town, the signs were back in their yard. A total of two signs had razor blades, according to the county Sheriff’s Office.

Police seek Detroit teen in connection with deadly shooting outside of Erebus Haunted House in Pontiac

Police are looking for Damon Parker Terrelle, 17, of Detroit, who is believed to have shot and killed a 29-year-old man outside of the haunted house in Pontiac on Sunday. Police seek man in deadly shooting of 29-year-old outside Erebus Haunted House in Pontiac
PONTIAC, Mich. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate individuals wanted in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred outside of Erebus Haunted House early Sunday morning. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says that at about 12:31 a.m. a 29-year-old Detroit man was shot and killed in the parking lot outside the haunted house. Officials say that the man and his girlfriend were standing in line behind the suspected male shooter, waiting to enter the haunted house.
