Air Quality Alert extended through end of week; thunderstorms possible in Metro Detroit
The Air Quality Alert has been extended to the end of the week on Friday by the Michigan Department of Environment. Air quality readings are in the unhealthy to the very unhealthy range once again today and are expected to be in the unhealthy for sensitive groups range to the unhealthy range, with hourly readings into the very unhealthy range also possible.

DETROIT An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties, Monday. There is a chance of isolated showers and storms as daytime temps reach the low and middle 90s, again. Additional chances of rain of rain will come from isolated showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. If rain occurs early and often enough, Heat Wave 2020 will come to an end with highs in the 80s. Otherwise, temps will reach 90 degrees or more, again.
