A man was killed in a crash that happened southbound M-39 north of Plymouth around 5:25 a.m. Sunday. According to Michigan State Police, the driver of a disabled car left his vehicle and was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian then caught fire.

Logan Grimes, 29, of Cadillac, was charged with carrying a pistol without a license, possession of unregistered ammo and large capacity ammo feeding device. There were many more Metro Detroit residents who were in D.C., but they did not enter the Capitol Building. Donalyn Atkinson and her brother, of Warren, took photos of people headed to the Capitol. “I went for the history,” Jimmy Lively said.
22-year-old shot, killed on Christmas Day, Detroit police say
DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man that happened around 1:20 a.m. on Christmas Day. Information on the motive and location of the shooting have not been released by police. No arrests have been made. Police are still investigating the shooting. Indiana police identify 3 people killed in 7-vehicle I-69 pileup
AUBURN, Ind. – A Michigan couple and an Indiana man have been identified as the three people killed in a seven-vehicle pileup on a northeastern Indiana highway, police said Thursday. William Charles Heil, 65, of Angola, was pronounced dead at the scene after his car was pushed into the rear of a second semitrailer, police said. The crash that also involved three other passenger vehicles occurred about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday on northbound Interstate 69, about 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) north of the Auburn exit, police said. Auburn is north of Fort Wayne and south of the state line with Michigan.
Warren man killed after verbal altercation with passenger of vehicle
WARREN, Mich. – A verbal altercation between a Warren resident and vehicle passenger last week become fatal, Warren police say. Officers found 30-year-old Warren resident James Russell Harbaugh, severely injured lying in the street. A passenger in that vehicle exited and physically assaulted Harbaugh after what appeared to be a verbal altercation. Harbaugh stood in the street after the passenger re-entered the vehicle. Prosecutor William Cataldo authorized charges for homicide-first degree, failure to stop at scene of accident causing death, lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation, and DWLS 2nd offense.
23-year-old fatally shot on Rosemont Avenue in Detroit
DETROIT – Police are investigating a Sunday shooting in the 20000 block of Rosemont Avenue in Detroit that left a 23-year-old man dead. At about 3:55 a.m. the victim pulled into his driveway and exited the vehicle when two unknown armed men came out from his backyard and fired multiple shots, police say. After the incident, both shooters fled the scene in an unknown direction. The armed men are described as black, in their 20s, and were wearing dark clothes.
