MDOT to hold virtual public meeting on I-275 project in Wayne County
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will host a virtual meeting Monday regarding the upcoming I-275 construction project in Wayne County. Over the next three years MDOT will repair and rebuild 24 miles of the freeway between Will Carlton Road and Six Mile Road. The meeting with be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and can be viewed by clicking here. MDOT wants to hear from the public in regards to any concerns they may have regarding the project. 19-year-old charged in fatal hit-and-run in Northville Township
NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A 19-year-old from Westland has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run in Northville Township that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man. Gustavo Godinez Jr. is facing a felony charge that carries up to 15 years in prison. NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ Northville Township police are seeking information related to the driver in a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man. According to police, Dominic Duhn, of Northville Township, was struck and killed at about 11:37 p.m. on Sept. 3 while skateboarding on Sheldon Road, south of Six Mile Road. Officials said it was last seen traveling south on Sheldon Road from Six Mile Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northville Township police at 248-349-9400. Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on Sheldon Road in Northville Township
NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. A 20-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday night in a hit-and-run on Sheldon Road between Six Mile Road and Tournament Drive in Northville Township. Witnesses described the vehicle traveling from Six Mile Road south on Sheldon Road before the crash, police said. The vehicle was described as a white or silver sedan last seen traveling south on Sheldon Road toward Five Mile Road. The Northville Township Police Department with the assistance of accident investigators from the Michigan State Police have an ongoing investigation. 2 men, 14-year-old girl taken into custody accused of targeting DPD officers
DETROIT โ Shots were fired at Detroit police officers Thursday morning during a traffic stop along Telegraph Road near McNichols Road on the cityโs west side. Police said the group taken into custody were looking for officers to shoot. ORIGINAL STORY: Detroit police officers targeted in drive-by shooting: โThey wanted to shoot at policeโAccording to authorities, the officers were targeted at about about 3:30 a.m. during a traffic stop by two men and a 14-year-old girl. While handling the traffic stop, police said they found weapons in the car when a white Kia Sorento drove by and someone inside fired several shots at the officers. The car turned around and fired more shots as it drove by a second time.
Video captures man throw Molotov cocktail at Detroit home, police seek arsonist
DETROIT Police are looking for help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with an arson on Detroits west side. Surveillance video from the scene captured an unknown man throwing two DIY fire bombs at the back of the house before fleeing the scene. Police describe the suspect as Black man about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants and blue shoes. 11-year-old boy stable after being struck by car in Redford Township, police say
REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ An 11-year-old boy is stable after being struck by a car Thursday in Redford Township, police said. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Six Mile Road and Kinloch Street, according to authorities. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. He was banged up, but is stable, police said. Authorities said the driver who struck the boy stopped at the scene and called 911.
