MORRIS TOWNSHIP, MI -- A 19-year-old mother died and her baby is expected to be OK after a crash involving a car and MTA bus late Thursday morning in Mt. Morris Township, according to police. Morris Township Police Chief Michael Veach told MLive-The Flint Journal. The 19-year-old woman driving the car died in the crash, Veach said. 2-month-old Michigan baby reunited with parents after carjacking
DETROIT -- A two-month-old baby has been reunited with his parents after a carjacking around 10 p.m. Saturday night in Detroit. According to the Associated Press, the baby was in the backseat of a silver Buick Lucerne and the parents were in the front seat when a man allegedly approached their car with a gun. The parents got out of the car and the suspect got inside and stole the vehicle with the baby in the backseat. The mother exchanged gunfire with the suspect according to police. The state has been working to increase breastfeeding initiation and duration and reduce disparities among racial and ethnic groups. (CBS DETROIT) – Oakland County Deputies and Waterford Regional Fire Department saved a 10-month-old baby who possibly choked on drug paraphernalia. Two firefighters took the baby to the backseat of a patrol car and performed CPR while a Deputy drove to a hospital. Detectives interviewed doctors who said the baby choked on something and went into cardiac arrest. Interviews with the parents of the child, indicated it was possible the baby found drug paraphernalia in a trash can and ingested it. “Watching the dashcam footage of our Deputies and Firefighters working hand-in-hand together to save the life of an innocent 10-month-old child demonstrates the heart and soul of our first responders,” said Sheriff Michael J. DETROIT – The mother and father of a newborn baby that was dropped off at DMC Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit have been found. Police said a man pulled up to the hospital on Thursday, asked someone to hold the baby while he parked his vehicle and then drove away and did not return. Authorities said they were worried about the mother and located the parents thanks to a tip from the public. Police said the woman -- found at a home near the intersection of Lahser Road and Kessler Steet -- is OK.Police are still investigating to see the parents will face charges. It is not against the law to drop a newborn off at a safe place -- like a hospital or a fire station -- but the baby is supposed to given to an employee.

BRIDGEPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman and her baby died Tuesday morning in a mobile home fire near the Michigan city of Saginaw, authorities said. Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze in a mobile home park in Saginaw County's Bridgeport Township. The mother and child were in one of three trailers that caught fire, authorities said. The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known, and the names of the victims weren't released. Bridgeport Township is about 80 miles (130 kilometers) northwest of Detroit.

The internet search giant has worked on a product that promises to warn parents before their little one has even woken up. Using video streaming, audio recordings and AI, the device would monitor the baby's behavior against a database of normal patterns. Based on the infant's movements and any noise it makes, it would detect anything out of character and subsequently issue an alert if the baby appears uncomfortable. An alert could be issued before the baby cries or even wakes up, according to the patent, which was first reported by CNBC.
