He was arrested after Eastpointe police were dispatched to a Foot Locker on 8 Mile Road on Monday. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at Jones’ home in the 23000 block of Courtland Avenue. The search resulted in the seizure of the stolen property and Jones was arrested without incident.

Parchman was arraigned Tuesday, Aug. 9, in Wayne County court on charges of torture, assault with intent to do bodily harm less than murder, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful driving away and aggravated domestic violence, according to the Wayne County inmate lookup.

ECORSE, MI -- An assistant principal at Ecorse High School was arrested Monday on school property on a charge of one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a person younger than 13. According to the WDIV-Detroit, Melven Conway, 45, was charged on Feb. 1 by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office over an alleged sexual assault that took place at a Detroit home. The alleged victim is a relative who says Conway assaulted her several years ago when she was 10, authorities said. As a condition of bond, Conway must wear a tether and would only be allowed to leave his home to go to work or to meet with his legal counsel. He is also ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim.

James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ pushed again, to 2021
The release of the James Bond film “No Time To Die” has been delayed again, this time to 2021, because of the effects of COVID-19 on the theatrical business. “No Time To Die” was originally supposed to open in April 2020 but was pushed back to Nov. 12 in the U.K. and Nov. 20 in the U.S. The Walt Disney Co. last week delayed the planned 2020 releases of a handful of major movies until 2021. They include Marvel’s “Black Widow” and Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story.” Universal delayed “Candyman” to next year. Some major releases are still planned for 2020.
