Michigan man accused of killing wife during shootout with other man
RAY TOWNSHIP, MI – A Michigan man is expected to go to trial related to a shootout that resulted in the death of his wife, WDIV Local 4 reports. That evening, Mollicone and his wife drove to the home a 36-year-old man. There were accusations of infidelity and Mollicone wanted to tell the man to stop contacting his wife, police said. Mollicone got out of the vehicle, went into the garage and confronted the man. Mollicone and his wife returned to their vehicle while the other man went into the house and retrieved a second gun.

A video of a 52-year-old suspect was posted to YouTube in which he allegedly yelled at and physically abused a 5-year-old German shepherd dog, police said. The suspect is then allegedly seen holding the dog by its neck and moving it around the floor on its back while the dog screams and whimpers, police said. The suspect then allegedly grabs the dog’s neck with both hands and lowers his face to the dog’s head. The suspect then allegedly lifts the dog’s head and slams it on the floor while continuing to yell. The suspect told officers that he had disciplined the German shepherd regarding the fight but would never hurt the dog.

RAY TOWNSHIP, MI – A Macomb County veterinarian could face charges after a video of him allegedly abusing his dog was posted to YouTube, prosecutor’s announced. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing possible animal abuse charges in the case. On Tuesday, Oct. 11, a video was posted to YouTube of the man allegedly abusing his German shepherd, including beating and strangling the dog, according to reports. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office has removed all three dogs from the residence, authorities said. “We understand that everyone is troubled and outraged about a video that surfaced on social media – we too share that frustration,” Macomb County Animal Control said in a statement.

RAY TOWNSHIP, MI -- A four-time Olympian is among the survivors of a plane crash that took place over the weekend in Macomb County. Chirine Njeim, who represented Lebanon in both the Summer and Winter Olympics was flying in the plane with her husband Ronny Kamal, 44 and niece Siena Kamal, 17, Sunday when the plane crashed. Ronny Kamal allegedly said there was an issue with the engine just moments after he lifted the landing gear in the Beech A36 Fixed Wing Single Engine plane. Njeim was released from the hospital along with Siena Kamal on Monday, however Ronny Kamal was set to have surgery at some point Monday. Njeim represented Lebanon in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics in the alpine skiing event.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, three people on board were injured in the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital where they are listed in critical condition. It is unclear what caused the plane to crash, but a preliminary investigation determined the plane was only off the ground by about 75 feet when it started to crash. The plane crash-landed on Indian Trail Road, north of 27 Mile Road. According to WXYZ-Detroit, the identities of the victims have not yet been released and an investigation is ongoing. Police were dispatched to the home after receiving reports of a man firing at the residence from a car. Details are still limited, but police confirmed the deceased female victim was found inside the car where the man was allegedly shooting from. Police say the shooting was a domestic situation and not a random act, however they are still working to determine a motive. Police locate 84-year-old Shelby Township man
RAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police located a missing 84-year-old man and said he is safe, officials said. The previous report is below:Michigan State Police have issued an endangered missing advisory for an 84-year-old man who was last seen in Ray Township. Archibald Mcintyre was last seen in the area of 30 Mile and Wolcot roads on Thursday. Mcintyre left his son’s Ray Township home because he forgot a suitcase that he needed for a trip out of state. His son told Mcintyre to drive to his Shelby Township home and get the suitcase.
Man charged in connection to fatal Ray Township hit-and-run crash
RAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Jerel Robinson, 46, was arraigned by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office on two felony counts Thursday. He was taken into custody Wednesday in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash in Ray Township. The crash happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 27 Mile and Romeo Plank roads. Macomb County deputies said Joseph Frank Jaye, 53, of Ray Township, was was riding a bicycle north on Romeo Plank Road toward 27 Mile Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Robinson was charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting serious impairment or death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault resulting in death.

Macomb County deputies said Joseph Frank Jjaye, 53, of Ray Township, was was riding a bicycle north on Romeo Plank Road toward 27 Mile Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Residents said the Ray Township intersection would have been busy around the time Jjaye was struck. A 46-year-old Ray Township man was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

RAY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday morning at 27 Mile and Romeo Plank roads in Ray Township. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian. Deputies first responded to the area about 7:17 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said. The unidentified man, who police believe to be about 50 years old, was found laying in the lawn of a residence near the intersection.
