Video: Suspect in stolen vehicle leads police on chase in Farmington Hills
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. โ Police arrested a man driving a stolen vehicle after he led officers on a chase in Farmington Hills. Dashcam video shows officers trying to stop the driver with their vehicles. Body cam footage shows officers chasing the man, even jumping over a fence. Police believed the suspect was armed after they retraced their steps the next day. โThe next morning, during daylight, investigators recovered a fully loaded handgun from the area believed to be involved in the incident,โ said Police Chief Jeff King.
Man charged with open murder after 2 men killed in Adrian, police say
ADRIAN, Mich. โ A man has been charged with open murder after two men were killed in Adrian, according to police. Christopher Lee-Ryan Carden, 34, is accused in the killings of Robert Braman, 67, and Samuel Compton, 82, both of Adrian, authorities said. Adrian police officers were called at 10:30 p.m. Friday (Jan. 15) to a home in the 900 block of Frank Street, officials said. Carden crashed the stolen vehicle and was taken into custody without incident after a fleeing the crash scene on foot, according to officials. He is charged with two counts of open murder, one count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle and one count of third-degree fleeing a police officer.
Driver in stolen vehicle arrested near I-94, Van Dyke Road in Detroit
DETROIT Michigan State Police arrested a driver who was in a stolen vehicle in Detroit Sunday in the area of Interstate 94 and Van Dyke Road. Two other passengers in the stolen vehicle fled the scene, officials said. Police said a gun reported stolen was located in the vehicle. Michigan State Police arrested a driver in a stolen vehicle in Detroit on Sept. 6, 2020. A handgun reported stolen was also located in the vehicle.
Michigan woman driving stolen vehicle with over $130,000 in gold bars, 30 grams of marijuana arrested at Blue Water Bridge
PORT HURON, Mich. On Thursday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 43-year-old woman at the Blue Water Bridge driving a stolen vehicle with marijuana and $130,000 in gold. The incident took place after the woman from Eaton County made a wrong turn and ended up on the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron. In this case, CBP officers took the extra steps to identify an individual in possession of a stolen vehicle and a large amount of gold, said Port Director Michael Fox. This is another prime example of our excellent working relationship with our partners.After arresting the woman CBP officers turned the case over to Michigan State Police, who were given custody of the woman. The gold, marijuana and stolen vehicle were also turned over to MSP.
