Garden City reports water service interruption
GARDEN CITY, Mich. The city of Garden City is reporting a water service interruption on Tuesday. According to the city, water service has been interrupted throughout the city due to work being done by the Great Lakes Water Authority. Restoration efforts are underwayWhen water is restored it could result in brown water to areas of the City, reads a statement from the city. Please check your water before doing laundry or avoid doing laundry at all if you see any discoloration of your water. Running your faucets if you see brown water after the water work is complete will eliminate the problem.

Boil water advisory issued for Berlin Township residents
BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A boil water advisory has been issued for residents in Monroe County’s Berlin Township due to a water main break. In the advisory issued Wednesday morning, Berlin Township officials advise residents west of I-75 and west of Swan Creek Road, including Newport Road west of I-75, North Park, Newport Estates, Birchwood sub, Newport Woods and Newport Farms, are encouraged to boil water for the next three days or until further notice before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and washing fruits and vegetables. Residents and business might experience lower water pressure, a loss of water or discolored water from taps. The township said this boil water advisory is due to a water main break on Newport Road west of I-75. Local officials will notify the public when the advisory is lifted after repairs are made and proper testing has been completed, the township said.
Part of West Bloomfield Township under boil water advisory due to drop in water pressure
WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Part of West Bloomfield Township is under a boil water advisory due to a drop in water pressure in the area, officials said. The advisory is in effect for residents and businesses east of Hiller Road and north of Greer Road. Wellington Woods #1 and #2, Wellington Meadows and Woodlands of West Bloomfield are also affected.
