Bank security notified police after their cameras caught the robbery attempt in progress. Police say the suspects took off in a stolen white truck after the robbery attempt was unsuccessful. Police tracked the suspects north on I-75, but they were eventually able to get away after splitting up on foot, WXYZ-TV in Detroit reported.

KEWEENAW COUNTY, MI – Officials in the Upper Peninsula are searching for suspects who caused a small fuel spill will allegedly attempting to steal gas from a commercial fishing operation. WLUC-TV reports that the incident occurred on the East shore of Lac La Belle on May 19 when a 275-gallon fuel tank was emptied except for what remained in the bottom of the tank and fuel lines. The cut line and tank remnants were left to run into the lake in Keweenaw County, the TV station reported, but the spill was considered small and quickly contained. Officials believe high fuel costs motivated the suspects to try and steal the gas. DETROIT – Police are searching for three men wanted in connection with a carjacking and separate shooting that happened in the 24500 block of West Eight Mile Road in Detroit on the city’s west side. Police say after being shot the victim stumbled a short distance through the parking lot and collapsed on the ground. Then the shooter returned to the Dodge Charger while the second armed carjacker ran east through the parking lot to an unknown area. The male suspects are around 20 years old and were wearing masks similar to those worn to protect against COVID-19, Robinson said. They fled the bank and left the area in a lime green Dodge Challenger.

DETROIT – Police have been searching for a murder suspect following a high-speed chase on Interstate 94. Police said the suspect is connected to a deadly shooting in Romulus. BERLIN TWP., MI – Police are searching for two suspects who broke into a Berlin Township home in Monroe County Friday afternoon and stole upwards of $10,000 worth of jewelry. The two suspects exited the vehicle and entered the home through a rear door where they stole a black Samsung tablet and a jewelry cabinet containing the $10,000 worth of jewelry items, police said. WESTLAND, Mich. – Westland police are searching for five people wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened around 4 p.m. on Oct. 17. DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men wanted in connection to a non-fatal shooting that happened on the city’s east side. The first suspect was seen exiting the vehicle and firing shots, striking the two victims, a 22 year old man and 42-year-old woman. Police say the first suspect re-entered the vehicle and both suspects fled the scene. He was armed and last seen wearing a black T-shirt, shorts, and light-colored shoes. The second suspect is described as a black male, and was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded sweater.

DETROIT – Detroit police are asking for tips as they search for suspects in a Jan. 26 non-fatal triple shooting. Police said the shooting happened about 12:10 a.m. in the 18600 block of Grand River Avenue. The suspects exited a white Chevrolet Tahoe and fired shots toward a gas station, striking three victims.
