Romeo dealership employee’s apparent joy ride in customer’s car under investigation

Romeo, Mich. – An employee of Elder Ford of Romeo was allegedly caught on dashcam video trying to intimidate drivers in a customer’s retired police vehicle. At one point, the employee allegedly waited for a car to pass, made an illegal U-turn and accelerated behind a car, imitating an officer about to pull over a driver. Elder Ford of Romeo responded to the allegations on Facebook, saying they’re not “taking the video and actions involved very serious. Elder Ford of Romeo said the employee no longer works at the dealership.

Ex-UAW president Dennis Williams pleads guilty in embezzlement scheme

Dennis Williams is the latest senior leader at the UAW to plead guilty in the government’s investigation of corruption in the union’s upper ranks. The probe has resulted in the convictions of 11 people, including another former president, Gary Jones, plus a late official’s spouse. But I deliberately looked away.”More than $22,000 in union money was used to rent a villa for Williams for a four-month period in 2016-17, the government said. Williams “put his personal and self-interest above that of our members and this union,” the UAW said Wednesday. Jones, who was president for about 18 months, pleaded guilty in June.

Ypsilanti clinic to offer free car repairs to help prevent dangerous police interactions

My car has been sitting and the battery is dead. Now what?

And what if your car won’t start because of a dead battery? To revive a dead battery, first make sure each car is in park or neutral -- and turned off. Then, connect one end of the cable to the positive terminal of the donor battery, and then connect the other end to the positive terminal of the dead battery. Let the dead battery charge for a few minutes, and then turn the ignition on the vehicle of the dead battery to see if it starts. This only applies if you:a) Have someone to take you to a repair shop or the store right away to buy a new battery.
