Drunk stranger blacks out in Birmingham woman’s garage, drives her car home, returns it with note, gas
A man who got blackout drunk at a nearby restaurant passed out in a Birmingham woman’s garage, woke up wearing only a shirt, drove her car back to his home, filled it up with gas and returned it, along with a note, police said.

Police: Woman killed in Macomb County by speeding teen in stolen Jeep
”Not only did a 20-year-old lose her life, there were two other people in another vehicle that were injured,” said Sterling Heights police Lt. Mario Bastianelli. “Could those people have lost their lives? That vehicle was traveling over 100 miles an hour, it’s a missile going down the road. It’s unnecessary. All for what? A stolen vehicle? What a waste.”

Police arrest man seen on camera stealing Bentley from Southfield business
SOUTHFIELD – A man who was seen on camera stealing a $200,000 Bentley from a Southfield business has been arrested. PREVIOUS: Bentley stolen from Southfield business; police search for man caught on camera“The officers set up on a surveillance operation,” said Southfield Police Chief Elvin Barren. Police spotted a white Ford Escape -- the vehicle seen on camera that the suspect drove in to the business. The man got in the Escape attempting to make an escape; however, police surrounded him. Body cam footage shows the man getting out of the car and attempting to run away and was stopped by officers.

Police seek 4 in connection with violent carjacking on Detroit’s west side
DETROIT – Police are looking for public assistance in identifying four people wanted in connection with a March 3 assault and carjacking on Detroit’s west side. As the victim followed her two men exit the Honda, assault the man and take his car keys. Police said the woman entered the Honda and one of the suspects enters for Ford and both vehicles fled the scene. Social media post helps Allen Park police catch suspected car thief
ALLEN PARK, Mich. – A photo of a suspected car thief posted to Facebook helped police in Allen Park apprehend the suspect 20 minutes later. The suspected thief used the victim’s car keys to locate the car while the victim was working at Fairlane Mall and had no idea the car was being taken. Police said the suspect found the victim’s jacket and took the keys to his 2014 Buick Regal. Allen Park police had surveillance video of the suspect and one clear image. Police said Strunk was remorseful but would only say he left the car in Ecorse with the keys still inside.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – The police department in Sterling Heights is warning everyone in Metro Detroit who owns a Dodge Charger or Dodge Challenger to lock it up. READ: Thieves jump through sunroof to steal car in DearbornOn Monday night, a Sterling Heights police officer saw what he thought might be a stolen Dodge Charger. The stolen Charger came close to going 90 miles per hour on Metro Parkway. In Sterling Heights, there have been four of those quick pursuits in just the past 10 days. According to the Highway Loss Data Institute, Challengers and Chargers are ranked as some of the most stolen vehicles in the country.

DETROIT – Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an Oct. 27 carjacking on Detroit’s west side. Police said a black Nissan drove up to a pump and the driver entered the store. While the passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was sitting in the Nissan, an armed man approached the car and orderd the woman to get out at gunpoint. VIDEO: Detroit police seek suspected car thief on the city’s west side
DETROIT – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection to a car theft on Detroit’s west side. Police said surveillance footage in the area captured a man entering the victim’s white Chevrolet Malibu in the 9500 block of Michigan Avenue and driving off. Police said the vehicle was recovered the next day in the 8600 block of Michigan Avenue with a number of personal items missing. Car theft at Huron Township rail yard leaves 1 dead
HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A man was killed Thursday after several automobile thefts at a Wayne County rail yard. Police said several people tried to steal cars and one ended up in a nearby pond. At about 4 a.m., Huron Township police got a call about several people trying to steal cars from the CSX Rail Yard on Pennsylvania Road, between Huron River Drive and I-275. At some point, one of the drivers lost control and the vehicle ended up overturned in a pond on the properties. CSX Transportation said three of the stolen cars have been recovered and thanked officers from the Romulus and Huron Township police departments for their quick response.

VIDEO: Man carjacked at Ferndale gas station
FERNDALE, Mich. – A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody after a Thursday morning carjacking in Ferndale. According to authorities, just after 7:15 a.m., a 62-year-old man was at a gas station near the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Livernois Avenue when the suspect approached with a handgun and demanded the vehicle. Police said the suspect was arrested by Southfield police after a short pursuit. Surveillance video of the incident can be seen above.
