Man faces charges after bank robbery, crash on US-23 in Ann Arbor during police chase
ANN ARBOR โ Ken Kenyatta Wilson was charged on Friday with a slew of felonies by the Washtenaw County Prosecutorโs Office. Wilson fled police officers on Tuesday afternoon after robbing the Chase Bank at 4101 E. Ellsworth Road in Pittsfield Township, leading to a chase when the suspect crashed his vehicle in the area of US-23 and Washtenaw Ave. Wilson was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital with serious injuries, but was reported to be in stable condition. Investigations at both the bank and the crash site were conducted by detectives, Pittsfield officers and evidence technicians.
Man, 33, dies in Whiteford Township car crash after driving backwards on US-23
WHITEFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A 33-year-old Ypsilanti man died due to a vehicle crash on US-23 Thursday evening. According to authorities, at about 6:50 p.m. Thursday, the Ypsilanti man was driving a black 2008 Hyundai Tiburon northbound on US-23 in Whiteford Township when he pulled over onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons. Shortly after, the man reportedly began traveling in reverse on the shoulder and as he reentered the freeway, driving backwards in the far right lane. As the Ypsilanti man reentered the freeway, his Hyundai was struck by a 52-year-old Adrian man driving a Ford Expedition who was unable to stop while traveling northbound on US-23. The 33-year-old man driving the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

MDOT: Eastbound M-14 from I-94 to Main Street to close Sunday for bridge repair
Heads up Ann Arbor. MDOT will close eastbound M-14 from I-94 to Main Street over the Huron River for six hours on Sunday morning to repair bridge railing. While the lanes are closed, the suggested alternate route will be eastbound I-94 to northbound US-23.
Lanes closed for repairs on ramp from WB M-14 to NB US-23
ANN ARBOR, Mich. โ The right lane on the ramp from westbound M-14 to northbound US-23 is closed Thursday for urgent pavement repairs. Parts of the pavement on the ramp are in dire condition and crews are working to fix the roadway.
