Driver charged after police chase ends in crash in West Bloomfield neighborhood
WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. A police chase in West Bloomfield ended with a crash in the middle of a neighborhood. Police said the driver was going 77 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. When police tried to initiate a traffic stop they said he refused to pull over. Police chased the driver on Orchard Lake Road, where officers eventually pinned him in and arrested him. He has been charged with fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license.
Hand sanitizing station stolen from Farmington Hills restaurant
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. โ An Oakland County restaurant wants to track down the couple that took its hand sanitizing station. UPDATE -- July 13, 2020 -- The hand sanitizing station has been returned. The security camera catches it all -- a man and woman walk into the restaurant and use the hand sanitizing station. Harshavrdhan Krishna said the sanitizer station took two months to get from Canada and cost the business $300. Krishna said itโs not how much the sanitizer station cost, itโs about piece of mind in the middle of a pandemic.
West Bloomfield barber shop closed due to car driven through front windows
WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. A barber showed up to his stop ready to cut and sweep up hair but was forced to sweep up glass instead. A car had crashed through the front windows of Mr. Barber on Orchard Lake Road, near 15 Mile Road. Surveillance video captured the collision Friday night. The barber shop is boarded up and closed. The driver is expected to be OK.

The break-in happened around 6 p.m. Friday at a home on Pebble Court in the subdivision near Orchard Lake and 11 Mile roads, officials said. Two men were caught on video breaking into the home before police arrived, authorities said. The other man was black, in his 20s and wearing a black shirt with orange writing, officials said.
